Throwback to 2024, we cannot believe it’s been so long since we edited this music-driven trailer. This might be one of our favorite couples to date 🤍. Every shot is carefully curated and placed, and no cut is randomly inside the edit. Even if it’s a linearly edited trailer, when we do jump from one moment to another, we do it intentionally, by either using a match-cut, or a mix of opacity cross-fades that are synced with the melody of the song to create a more dramatic effect. Who hasn’t seen The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, or The English Patient (for which he also took the best film editing Oscar award)? 🎬 One thing that struck us in the wedding industry is that people don’t seem to acknowledge the importance of video editors. That is because the edits themselves are superficially handled. But things are starting to shift RAPIDLY. And that’s because in the whirlwind of fast-delivered content and a fast-growing community of video creators, only the ones that are putting the effort into their editing manage to distance themselves from the crowd.
