JW Marriott Reston Station was a project about place — about honoring the ideals that Robert E. Simon Jr. wove into Reston from the very beginning. Interiors rooted in the city's own history, its materials, its craft, its sense of belonging.
Great hospitality design is never generic. It's emotionally engaging, narrative-driven, and rooted in the spirit of each destination. Reston gave us a rich story to tell.

We’re proud to announce that our work at the new JW Marriott Reston Station has been named a Finalist in the Event Spaces category of this years’s HD Awards.
The event spaces are part of our overall narrative of social and civic connection concept for the design of the hotel’s public spaces, the event floors move beyond the expected, shifting from formal event rooms to more fluid, social environments shaped by light, material, and scale. Their connection to the surrounding environment also impart a feeling of freshness and light that is felt throughout.

Congratulations to @wildbirchhotel on being named one of the 10 Best New Hotels in the U.S by @usatoday
Located at the starting point of the historic Iditarod Trail, Wildbirch Hotel was reimagined as a basecamp for Alaskan adventure. Our top-to-bottom renovation balances contemporary comfort with rich local storytelling, expressed through layers of detail: fly-fishing rods reinterpreted as sculptural décor, hand-stitched leather–wrapped lobby columns with patterns inspired by Native totems, and hand-drawn murals throughout the property, including dramatic stairwells, by contemporary artists.
From warm woods and polished leathers to immersive art and craft references, the hotel feels both cozy and energized. The design is rooted in Alaska’s landscapes, culture, and creative community. A well-deserved win and an exciting moment for Anchorage’s Fourth Avenue district.

At @appellation_healdsburg we designed hands-on maker spaces where guests can cook, create, and gather, an extension of the culinary-first experience of this new hospitality brand.
At @fscabosanlucas that same spirit comes to life through an artist-in-residence studio and an Adventure Center inspired by Baja’s surf shacks and sports lodges.
Across both projects, design becomes a way to engage with place through discovery, making, and authentic experiences.

As part of our design deep-dive for @mii_amo_spa we stepped away from our desks and devices and walked into the timeless beauty of the resort’s setting in the stunning Boyton Canyon. We slowed down to soak in colors, the flora and fauna, and the magnetic energy of this special place. That sense of timelessness became a key source of inspiration, and perhaps part of what led to Mii amo’s most recent recognition with @interiordesignmag 2025 Best of Best Award, honoring the most influential design work of the past 20 years.
It was a privilege to work on the refresh of this much-loved destination, and we’re so pleased that it continues to be a favorite destination, and design leader, to so many. Congrats to our partners on this project, @gluckmantang@enchantment_resort . And a big congratulations to all the other entrants and winners of this year’s @interiordesignmag Best of Year Awards. We’re proud to be part of such an inspiring design community.

We’re honored to announce that EDG is a finalist in Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards for Marketing & Branding Collateral.
Alongside our interior design work for the historic property (which we’ll reveal soon!) our identity for Mansión Mihura captures the soul of this iconic Buenos Aires mansion, weaving together vintage influences, architectural details, custom icons, and a richly layered graphic system that reflects its intriguing, story-filled world.
From French Blue and gold accents to the “Sipping Statue” and checkerboard motifs, every element connects the mansion’s legacy with a fresh, contemporary spirit.

Compelling design isn’t defined by square footage or layout. It’s about intention and storytelling.
“3 Small Bedroom Ideas to Steal from Hotels” in the current issue of Sunset Magazine features two of our guest room designs that create spaciousness through intentional design. For Lido House in Newport Beach, we extended the typical nightstand into a floor-to-ceiling storage surround that draws the eye upward, creating a sense of height and spaciousness within the hotel’s coastal-home motif. And at the newly opened Appellation Healdsburg, the custom combination sofa and storage piece is a beautiful, hardworking expression of California craft, part of the heart of the new culinary-first resort.
A comfortable guest space doesn’t always mean more room; it simply needs a thoughtful approach.
