Cada vez que vuelvo a México, siento una conexión muy profunda con la gente, la música, las calles y todo lo que se vive aquí. 🇲🇽 Las madrugadas después de noches largas. Las conversaciones con desconocidos que de repente terminan en amistad. Esa calidez, esa energía y esa humanidad que se sienten en todos lados. Es difícil explicarlo, pero este país siempre logra tocarme el corazón cada vez que regreso. Pero este viaje fue diferente. Mucho más emocional. Hace dos años vimos a un perro callejero en Puerto Vallarta que nunca pudimos olvidar. Y esta vez volvimos para buscarlo. Preguntamos en puestos de tacos, restaurantes, bares y en la calle. Imprimimos volantes, mostramos fotos y escuchamos muchísimas historias. Algunos lo llamaban El Negro. Otros, El Compadre. Y otros lo conocían como Rocky. De alguna manera, todos lo conocían… y al mismo tiempo seguía siendo invisible para el mundo. Aunque no logramos encontrarlo, esta búsqueda nos dejó algo todavía más grande: Personas con corazones enormes. Personas que recorren la ciudad cada mañana y cada noche para alimentar perros callejeros. Personas que rescatan animales, les buscan hogar y les dan una vida mejor con lo poco o mucho que tienen. Y personas que casi no tienen nada para ellas mismas, pero aun así cuidan y alimentan a varios perros todos los días. Y en algún momento de este viaje, apareció Estella Bonita. ♥️ Una mañana, todavía de madrugada, caminó directamente hacia mí frente a nuestro apartamento mientras buscaba comida entre la basura. Las golosinas que llevaba en el bolsillo en realidad eran para otro perro. Pero a veces la vida tiene otros planes. Después del primer premio y de los primeros tacos del desayuno, lo supe: Te vienes a casa conmigo. Este viaje me recordó una vez más cuántas historias invisibles existen en las calles, no solo de animales, sino también de personas. Gracias, México, por hacerme sentir en casa cada vez que vuelvo.
