STUDIO NIGHT - NIK ANDERSSON INVITES
For this Studio Night, we invite Berlin-based DJ and producer Nik Andersson, known for blending rhythmic drive with melodic depth and an emotional edge — creating a hypnotic, uplifting flow on the dance floor. The evening opens with “Disconnected”, an exhibition by Julian Melzer and Nicole Atieno, reflecting on the quiet paradox of our time: as phone use becomes seamlessly embedded in daily life, our sense of connection begins to shift. Without rejecting technology, the project observes its presence with nuance, tracing the tension between constant connectivity and subtle disconnection, while pointing toward the need for awareness, balance, and genuine human exchange. With DJ sets by Levat, Andra, Nik Andersson, and Cucut in the gallery room, and Room Service Collective,
Moritz Jahn & Paul Boche in our club room.
Tickets at the door, 10 Euro before 10PM

During Gallery Weekend we host multiple exhibitions as well as evening events, a.o. featuring artists from our own artist residency. The Studio IIII Residency Program, curated by Sebastian Hoffmann (@tadantadantadan ), provides artists with technical and production resources for multimedia projects. Each year several artists are invited focusing primarily on moving images and light-based art, encouraged to configure their work on a spatial level and with an audience that is otherwise uncommon in the exhibition context. APERETIVO & BITES BY CAYO & COCO
At 7PM, the evening starts with “Chronos” by Simon Mullan, presented in collaboration with Berlin Art Link and Flipping The Coin. The work draws insperation from techno culture, subcultural narratives, and raw visual aesthetics. Chronos unfolds as an intense, time-based composition, somewhere between installation and lived experience. The beginning of the evening is enhanced by a culinary experience with Aperitivo & Bites by Cayo&Coco.
The Exhibition gradually shifts into a club-adapted version that merges seamlessly with the night. DJ sets by Ali Liar, Horkheimer, Natalia Escobar, DJ Killing, Senbaik and Luca Paul carry the space forward, as the boundaries between artwork and dance floor begin to dissolve.

ANDREAS GREINER - Concert for Mammals
A performative musical experiment conceptualized by Andreas Greiner and composed by Louis McGuire. The Concert for Mammals was driven by the question of whether human animals could create a piece of music for non-human animals. Prior to the performance, the artist and composer spent a week on the grounds of the Art and Nature Foundation in Nantesbuch, inviting human musicians to play music to the various non-human animals living at Nantesbuch and observe their reactions. Different instruments and pitches were played to see how the animals reacted, with the water buffalo being the most curious. The final ensemble of the concert included a tuba player, alpine horn players and a cellist, conducted and mixed live by Louis McGuire. It combined notated and improvised sequences for the buffalo. Human observers were invited to evaluate the musical experiment.
TIM BERRESHEIM – The Great Wayfinders I-IX (Cave Music)
Berresheim moves fluidly between complex digital spheres and thoroughly researched sources from science, philosophy, and art history. He continuously pushes the boundaries of contemporary art production and demonstrates that the possibilities of computer-assisted processes are far from exhausted. The chamber opera The Great Wayfinders I–IX (Cave Music) explores the meaning of digitality through cave exploration - and ventures a speculative look back from the future to our present day. Together with artist Tim Berresheim, composer Marcus Schmickler creates a narrative suggesting that we are still only at the very beginning of a new era: the digital age. In a few centuries, this era may perhaps be referred to as the “digital Stone Age”, whose beginnings might appear clumsy and archaic.
Both artworks are transformed into a special immersive setup at Studio 1111. (Text: Website Tim Berresheim)

KBAR - “MOTION FRAGMENTS” (EXHIBITION WITH SIGHTS & SOUNDS)
ANDRE ZIMMERsd / HELINA / EVIN / BEQQI / CHARLI/E / ERYA X SAFEJAS / RONALDO / KAITO HENRY
On Friday, Studio 1111 collaborates with Floathouse, a Berlin & Bologna–based creative project and digital archive, for an evening centered around moving image and material experimentation. At its core is “Motion Fragments”, the latest body of work by Brighton-based visual artist Kbar. Known for his graphic prints, Kbar expands his practice into tactile animation, working with unconventional materials and analogue techniques. From knitted frames produced on a machine to etched metal plates and printed receipt rolls, his process embraces texture, imperfection, and movement — transforming seemingly static materials into fluid, living sequences. For this presentation, his knit and stitch stop-motion works are projected across a 270° surface, turning the main room into a shifting canvas where image and space begin to merge. As the night unfolds, the energy moves toward the dance floor, where a diverse lineup carries the atmosphere forward. With diverse sets From Evin, Helina, Andre Zimmer, Beqqi and Charli/e’ in the upstairs Gallery Room, through EYRA’s system pressure and Safejas’ softer, deconstructed forms as well as tunes by Ronaldo and Kaito Henry in the downstairs Clubroom.
THUR 11 APR 7PM
STUDIO NIGHT - CLEMENS PORIKYS INVITES
After his first video installation “quell” at Studio 1111 in 2024, Berlin-based society, fashion and nature photographer Clemens Porikys, who is renowned for his striking international celebrity portraits and editorial magazine work, is back at studio to exhibit “CAMBODIA”, a photographic report with texts by anthropologist Lisa Arensen (in collaboration with HOTO Gallery). His newest project traces the lives of indigenous communities navigating the tensions between tradition, history, and rapid transformation — from the forest-connected Bunong in Mondulkiri to the shifting spiritual and social landscapes around Phnom Kulen. Through intimate portraits and field research, the project reveals how land, identity, and belief systems remain deeply intertwined, while external pressures continue to reshape them. At 9PM, Porikys joins for a conversation expanding on the work and presenting further materials. A food intervention by Ricarda Fahrnbacher provides a culinary experience. Afterwards, a special screening of Porikys video installation “quell” will take place.
As the night unfolds, the space transitions into a full Studio Night with DJ sets by Oliver Barduhn, Alejandro Molinari and a special live performance by Fletchy Boy in the gallery room, while singer-songrwriter Dareel Marley premieres Basement 11 in the clubroom - with a live acoustic performance by himself, and DJ sets by Anna Karina, Zadquiel Ramirez, and Spaida.
