Leveraging student creativity to showcase understanding of our science content for the win. Students were challenged to invent a superhero with powers based on a concept we’ve studied so far. I loved seeing how they expressed their knowledge of current and static electricity, as well as magnetism and electromagnets, in such unique ways. This also gave me the chance to spot misconceptions and guide students in giving each other constructive feedback. How might you create opportunities like this in your classroom this year?
