I had the opportunity to attend my first Barrel Burner at the @theleadfarm_wa a couple of weekends ago and it didn’t disappoint!
The trip there was a bit of a journey with bad weather, highway shutdowns, and running on 3 hours of sleep before day one, but everything was on the up and up from there! We had a great squad and the weather was beautiful all weekend 🌞. I love this venue because you get stages facing different directions, keeping you very engaged with wind reading.
This was my first pro match of the year and I feel like I’m still shaking off the rust. One thing that was not rusty was my gear. I’m grateful to be an @mdttac21 supported shooter this season and excited to continue running my rock solid ACC Elite chassis.
My 6BR Curtis Valor build by @emprecisionrifles remains a reliable laser and I’ll be taking it again to worlds later this year, though I’ll probably need to break in a new barrel before then.
Next up in April, the Short Action Customs Steel Challenge match!

The dust has settled from the 2025 World Championship and I’ve had some time to reflect on the highs, lessons, and moments that made this experience so meaningful to me. This match took me well out of my comfort zone. 90-second par times, high movement, and 12 shots per stage are not my usual style.
Anyone who has squadded with me knows I run an attached bag system 99% of the time. It helped keep my head above water for this match, but it also cost me on a few stages with tighter positions and wide pivots. Coming out of worlds, becoming a stronger single-bag shooter is a top priority.
Overall, I placed 15th in Ladies and I’m proud of my contribution to our team. Team Canada placed 3rd out of 21 countries. The Ladies team placed 3rd and I could not have asked for a more supportive group of women as my teammates @jess.tischlerr , @womfette , and @lisahertay I am also so proud of our Open team for an incredible 2nd place finish against some fierce competition!
This was an experience I’ll hold onto for a long time, and I’m grateful to everyone who encouraged, supported, and celebrated with us along the way.
Had the opportunity to shoot the @apexrockymtnchallenge match this past weekend. It was challenging with switchy winds that really tested my capabilities. I managed to snag Top Lady and placed at 27th overall.
Huge shoutout to @athlonoptics . I am incredibly excited to be supported by them this season. I have been using a Cronus for the past year and love the glass clarity and tactile turrets. My Cronus had an accident at the recent NRL22 Finale, and I was very relieved to get my replacement just in time to shoot this match!
I’m also very grateful for my squad, everyone was really supportive and helped me with moving “height compensators” on stages where the props were too tall for me. Thank you Squad 4 ❤️ While we are scored individually, I’m consistently reminded that there is also a team element to this sport. Community is everything.
As usual, my @emprecisionrifles 6BR was a laser. @mabae has been helping me with reloading and I think we’ve finally cracked it, I’m so stoked to get a sub 3.0 SD. Though I really have run out of excuses now 😅
Rocks, rocks, and more 🪨 was the theme last weekend at Snake River. The first half of Day 1 started off rocky (hah), with really challenging weather. Thankfully, the sun eventually came out. We had gorgeous weather for the rest of the weekend, and I have a newfound love for the rolling landscape of Idaho.
I’m pleased overall with the outcome of my first 2-day match. I finished 114 out of 160, managed to snag Top Lady. Not a great placement, but it is driving me to set goals for my upcoming matches. The caliber of competition across the border is both humbling and inspiring. I am learning so much and just soaking it all in. Some takeaways from this weekend:
- I need to work on speeding up my prep process as I transition stages - I want to spend more time on glass and helping with squad work
- Always keep the mental game strong - a positive attitude and mindset got me through the rain and cold
Thank you again to @emprecisionrifles for building me a laser. There were some tiny targets and I couldn’t be happier with how it performed.
I'm also obsessed with how tactile the turrets are on my @athlonoptics scope. I dialed a fair amount this match, most notably on a 4 target/3 position stage. Loved being able to dial every target without lifting my head, and managed to finish in time!
P.S. I had many more 🪨 jokes, but I figured I’d save you from my bad puns. Ok maybe one more: Thank you @mabae for always supporting and encouraging me, you rock ❤️
Incredibly thrilled and honoured to have been selected for the team! I’m excited for the journey ahead and looking forward to giving my best at the IPRF World Championship this September. Here we go! 🚀

Eeek!! So excited that I managed to finish my first PRS season in 18th position overall and Top Female for the Northwest Region!
I didn’t do as well as I had hoped at the regional finale this past weekend, but did manage to qualify for the @precisionrifleseries nationals in Pennsylvania next month.
There’s a few things to tune up before then, but top of the list will be mental prep. Mental mistakes are the most frustrating for me, and there were a few too many on Saturday. I will also need to figure out my gear and kestrel situation. @mabae has been an amazing support this past year, always helping me with my elevation/wind calls. We will not be able to choose our squads for nationals, so it may be our first time not doing a match together 🥲
On a side note, the tacti-stool worked really well! I used it in a few stages and it was nice to sit on it during the breaks too 😆 will definitely be packing it for Pennsylvania!
Finally achieved my goal from earlier this summer - a podium win in yesterday’s @bcprecisionrifle match at @chilliwack_fish_and_game 🥉 Scores were very tight for the day with an excellent group of shooters. Congrats to @mabae and @westcoastwildcard on tying for 1st!
The two matches before this one didn’t go too well for me due to a combination of mental errors, mechanical issues, and even forgetting to pack my bolt 🤦♀️ As always, I found myself surrounded by amazing people - encouragement never stopped flowing and @rimfire_rat was kind enough to share his bolt with me the entire match!! I have also discovered that weights are great 👍
I’m looking forward to the @precisionrifleseries Northwest Regional Rimfire Finale this coming weekend. I’m sure I will learn a lot, and I will definitely be making a pack list this time ☑️…including a tactical stool in case any of the props are too tall for me 😆 (thanks @lisahertay for sharing your awesome pump pillow yesterday!!)
Thanks @big.rick.shoots and the Vancouver Island Precision Shooters (VIPS) team for organizing a great @bcprecisionrifle match over the weekend! We had beautiful weather and a really fun CoF that put us through the paces. (Great props and always challenging but fun to get moving targets 😁)
I’m still in my first season and learning so much from each match. It’s been great to see progress and certainly helps to have an incredibly supportive community!
Very happy that I placed 4th in Open + Top Lady, and @mabae took 2nd place.
🚢 17 hours and 1300 km later 🚙
SUPER STOKED for a double medal weekend!
Started with a @bcprecisionrifle match yesterday at Joe Rich Sportsman’s Association. Had an awesome squad and really engaging CoF. Managed to snag Top Lady and finished 9th overall.
Shot my first ORPS match of the season today and managed to come in 1st overall, and @mabae finished strong in 3rd (even if he looks unimpressed in the photo😆)! Super fun match at the very posh Courtenay & District Fish & Game Protective Association. Always a treat to explore new ranges.
The match schedule is a little intense this season as we are aiming to compete in a few different series. But the matches are just so much fun and the company is always first class 👌
Many thanks as always to the volunteers, community, and sponsors for making these matches possible.
