@emmylouharrisofficial has been my absolute favourite singer for a long time, but when her final European tour was announced I stupidly held off buying tickets because of the price, then realised how much it meant to me to get to see her live after they sold out. I watched the Bristol Beacon website for months on the off chance a ticket magically appeared, and one did! She was wonderful, as were her band, and they played so many of my favourites (she'd have had to have playeda few more hours to fit all of them in). So glad (relieved?) I went!
A few photo and video memories of the unforgettable sold out show by Emmylou Harris last night at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham. She is on her farewell tour of the UK and Europe, so this was her bittersweet final visit to Birmingham and she gave us one for the ages. Thank you @emmylouharrisofficial and your amazing band for all the wonderful music over the years, we will miss you đĽš

When the show was over, we went to the bar. Erikâs friend Rickard was going to talk music with the guys from Kiruna, Willy Clay band, but we wanted to head home.
Outside Nalen, Erik said we should walk down toward Stureplan to get an Uber. I said I was hungry, so we started looking around for somewhere we could grab something simple. And then, right there on the sidewalk, Mr. and Mrs. Crowell and the violinist Mr Eamon McLoughlin đťwere walking toward us. We were both surprised, and he (Mr. Crowell) said, âI recognize you from the show â¤ď¸.â
Erik wanted me to take a photo of them together. Then Rodney told his wife Claudia that she should take a photo of us togetherâand that I should stand in the middleââladies in the middle!â So I stood in the middle, and Claudia said I had a nice jacket. đđ
When we said goodbye and thanked them for the show, we mentioned that weâd be seeing Emmylou in August. Then we found out that his talented violinist would be playing then as well. By the way, heâs the first violinist at the Grand Ole Opry. Of course â¤ď¸
Finally got to see the brilliant @rodneyjcrowell perform live at @firestationsun with Catherine Marx on keyboard and @eamonfiddle on fiddle & mandolin. The brilliant @keziagillmusic opened the show joined Rodney on stage for a great duet. A wonderful night of music and laughter. Was good to catch up with Kezia after the show and chat to Catherine too
Today we celebrate our freedom! Itâs a privilege we should never take for granted.
âTo us, freedom is in the little things. Like a morning walk or run in the peace and quiet of nature. But itâs also in the big moments, like seeing @rodneyjcrowell live last week.
âThis legendary and inspiring songwriter, and Nashvilleâs finest musicians, @eamonfiddle đť and Catherine Marxđš, truly know how to reach your soul. Watching them visibly enjoy playing together was so special. We laughed and we were moved to tears.𼚠The cherry on top was getting to meet all three of them afterwards. A huge thank you to Eamon for making that happen! âĽď¸
âFreedom is precious, and unfortunately, it still ainât free.
Today we celebrate. See you at the Sena stage in Assen at 3.00 PM! @bevrijdingsfestivaldrenthe

L'any que ve, mĂŠs! Visca Badalona! I visca el Blues & Ritmes!
