2026 schiet op gang met de tournee van Stéphane Galland: Kanda! De grootmeester op de drums stelt een gloednieuw trio voor met aanstormende talenten Louise van den Heuvel (bas) en Lúcia Pires (fluit, electr., EWI).

𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑳ú𝒄𝒊𝒂 𝑷𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒔 - 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒋𝒂𝒛𝒛, 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗 𝒇𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕 - 21 OCT 2025
Lúcia Merzenich Pires is a Brussels-based flutist who moves with ease between jazz, improvisation and new sounds. After years of classical training, she found her voice in jazz and has since been exploring the edges where rhythm, freedom and experimentation meet.
Her music is curious and open, weaving together complex grooves, free improvisation and, more recently, live electronics. Active in a wide range of projects, she is steadily shaping her own improvisational language.
Lúcia will play the opening set of the release concert of Brussels singer songwriter
@marcogiongrandi on October 21. For this concert she will step forward with a brand-new solo, inviting us into a world where the flute transforms, surprises and tells stories we haven’t yet heard.

*THURSDAY, MARCH 13TH*
This time, we bring you a double bill, featuring a brand-new quartet and a heartfelt father-daughter duo.
*At 18h*, SLOW MOB takes over the space with live electronics, improvisation, and their unique blend of *spontaneous rhythm* and Portuguese chouriço. Born from a symphonic project commissioned by ECHO *(European Concert Hall Organization)*, this quartet is now in residence, shaping fresh paths before heading on an international tour in 2025/26. They will be weaving textures and grooves in real-time, so expect the unexpected.

*At 19h30*, we continue with Lúcia Pires & Ícaro Pires, a special father-daughter performance filled with music, cheese, and love. Lúcia (flute) and Ícaro (live charcoal) will be joined by Diogo Alexandre on live electronics. Ícaro will create live drawings, amplifying the sound of his strokes with contact mics on the drawing board, so you’ll not only see the drawings come to life but also hear them in real-time.
