Photos from the production! The Skriker by Caryl Churchill directed by @tait.brencher . A @fourletterwordnyc production starring @maxcweigel as The Skriker. (I promise last post 😂).
Congrats to the cast at crew of the @fourletterwordnyc production of Caryl Churchill’s play, “The Skriker” directed by the talented @tait.brencher . Special shout out to @maxcweigel for his brilliant performance of the Skryker. I know I’m his Mom, but his 12-minute opening monologue was electrifying and how he memorized it is beyond me. I am very grateful to amazing friends who came out to see the show (and supported it from afar). Felt good to support young artists doing great work.
Last night’s premiere of Black & Jewish America: An Interwoven History at @92ndstreety was much needed inspiration. @henrylouisgates asked @corybooker what is the most important action to take at a time like this. And Cory in a word said: art. He elaborated that it’s not about a long list of policies, it’s art that can inspire and connect Americans to the importance of democracy and hope. We hope you will watch our 4-part series from 4 of my favorite directors (@swolitzky@philbhere@julia_marchesi@rdmerlin ) streaming on @pbs and feel some of that hope of bringing communities together towards a common cause. I couldn’t be more proud of the entire team @mcgee_docs for many hard years of work to bring this to the screen.
We invite you to join us for a virtual town hall, Black and Jewish America: An Interwoven History, on February 3, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
In this four-part docuseries, we explore the shared and sometimes complicated history of Black Americans and Jewish Americans, from moments of solidarity during the civil rights movement to the challenges these communities face today. Together, we’ll reflect on the past and consider what it means for our future.

55! Almost forgot my annual post (although this is the last year of my life I can do it solo 😂!). It’s been a great day and thank you all for the showering of ♥️. I felt it.
My Dad (@gdmcgee )sent me a treasure trove of old photos that arrived today. I love this one from what I am sure is a Yankees Game. You can tell from the face how much I loved baseball 😂
Got to geek out with my two favorite cookbook authors today (@cannellevanille@amychaplin ) to celebrate the publication of “The Art of Gluten Free Bread” by Aran. Total pinch me to have them both there together at beautiful @sweetflowerfarm where they served chai with homemade almond milk, seed crackers (Amy’s recipe I assume), and chocolate chip sea salt cookies (Aran’s recipe). My kind of heaven! If you don’t own cookbooks by these two, you are missing out. I’ve tried so many by others and always circle back to theirs.
