2 years ago today, I asked @tianakissedafrog to be mine. Well, I actually asked her on Halloween, and she said “yes, but not yet - how about you try asking me that again after midnight.” 😂 I don’t know what I was thinking trying to hijack her favorite holiday and make it about us, but she handled it like a boss. And here we are 2 years later already. We went through a whole lot this past year - both ups and downs - and facing it all together as one has only made me grow more confident that she is, and will always be, my person. If you know Tea, you know just how special she is, and I mean it when I say that not a day goes by where I forget that. I love you so much. Thank you for always putting up with my nonsense. It was SURREAL to share the stage with Jake Cinninger and Joel Cummins of Umphrey’s McGee the other night. We played a few songs, including a 20+ minute Utopian Fir that went to some crazy places in the jam and might be one of my musical experiences I’m most proud of. 1 year with the love of my life ❤️ #anniversary @tianakissedafrog

Today is national girlfriends day. I’m so proud to have this absolutely incredible woman by my side. When I first met her, I wasn’t looking for anything serious at the time, but she completely stopped me in my tracks - I felt like I’d been struck by lightning in the best possible way. After merely 5 minutes of us talking I felt like I’d known her my entire life. There was no adjustment period, no discomfort, no awkwardness. Just the two of us fully being ourselves from the very first second. After our first date, there was no doubt in my mind I wanted to be with her. We just clicked. As if we were destined to meet each other at that exact point in our lives. I told her that night that if we kept spending time together, I was probably going to fall madly in love with her. Lo and behold, some time later, it hit me like a ton of bricks - I was smitten. This woman has completely transformed my life. I’ve never met anybody like her. I never believed in soulmates until we met. Being with her has fundamentally changed the way I think about what a healthy relationship looks like. When you find the right person, it’s just effortless, and life just gets brighter and more exciting than you’d ever imagined it could be. I think the fact that I’m being so sappy on social media right now speaks for itself. I don’t know what I did to deserve a person like her, but I know I can’t wait for us to make a zillion more memories together. I love you so much, @tianakissedafrog .
