Some people ask why I bring flash during the day, this is why!
A little light can go a long way in many scenes. I use flash to make the scenes more dynamic and provide better light for my grads, with the goal to make it look as natural as possible!
You certainly don’t need off camera lighting to take grad portraits, but it certainly keeps you prepared to deal with whatever lighting the weather provides that day. I like to shoot with flash because it yields consistent results, no matter what time of day!

Cherry blossom season at @saintjosephs 🌸
This was always one of my favorite times of year at SJU. On top of the beautiful colors it brings to campus, they also bring the warm weather and symbolize the final weeks leading up to the end of the semester.
I love it when grads book early to capture their portraits at this special time of year. Rising seniors, be sure to consider this when booking in 2027!
