For his milestone 14th studio album, @abadthink and longtime collaborator @dwaved knew they needed a highly specific touch to bring their immersive vision to life.
Enter mastering engineer @coastmastering Known for his pioneering work in spatial audio, his expertise was the missing puzzle piece that elevated both the stereo and Atmos formats.
In this clip from our full interview, the trio discusses how a simple phone call sparked a seamless creative partnership to bring the album to a spectacular close. It is a testament to the fact that when world-class mixing meets a masterful finishing touch, the final playback speaks for itself.

I had the honor of recording the great James Gadson a few times. He had a feel like nobody else. A groove that just made you move and feel good . So many classic records. Those 16th note hi hats are legendary and instantly identifiable. But he was also a sweet and kind man. His love for everyone just shined. And it seemed to me that this was the secret to his groove. He will be sorely missed.
