Like every time I play at @horstartsandmusic , I had a great time. I always try to challenge myself with a fresh, creative idea, this time I had a clear vision of how I wanted people to move on the dancefloor and decided to flip expectations.
No Jazzfunk or Boogie in the bag for once I went strictly Chicago Jacking (but i had the close with a track by L.D. Dub Corp mixed with a Roland Clark acapella)

Itās that time of the year again: selecting the final records for my favourite moment of the year, playing at @horstartsandmusic
Every year, I challenge myself with a new creative idea. Last night, I had a dream where the DJ was no longer the most important figure on the dancefloor. A dream where the focus shifted back to the dancers, the true heartbeat of club culture.
In my dream, the house dancers returned to the floor. It felt sexy, raw, and alive. And honestlyā¦ it didnāt feel like a dream at all. It felt real. A real wet dream šš„µ

@horstartsandmusic invited us last week for a photoshoot, right on time, because I hadnāt shaved in weeks hahaha. My favourite thing to do. (I mean the photoshoot, not the shaving part lol.)
Locals do it better!
What a great and important choice by Horst to give more and more space to locals every year. Iāll say it again: locals do it better.
Weāre going to rock the dancefloor, fuck the insta numbers and the 10second rules.
If you didnāt saw it, this year I will perform as DTM Funkpresents Black Gravity Dance.
Iāve long questioned why so few dancers from the battle and street dance communities are present at house music events. So Iām turning the spotlight away from the DJ booth and onto the dancefloor. Iām bringing 25 house dancers, orchestrated by @s.mavinga@joffreyanane and @djkinsoul and a bag of dirty and raw stuff. I only ask you to bring you soul and moves to the dancefloor.

It has been an nice experience working as a programmer at Traum. Big love for the chance and Thank you to everyone Iāve had the pleasure of collaborating with agents, artists, colleagues, and all the beautiful people involved.
(Sidenote: Now I can say it: the price of some artists doesnāt match their quality and performance. Of course, we live in a capitalist, peak-time-driven video world, but still.)
Now itās time for a new chapter. Iām focusing on something where I can truly put 100% of my artistic soul into it a project that allows me to fully express my creative vision, while staying open minded and continuing to learn from others.
Last weekend was a wonderful beginning, ending perfectly on Sunday with four top listening sessions. In the back, people were quietly digging with respect, some even reading or drawing. It was great to see so many new faces.
On to more beautiful creative and musical moments.

Itās already Saturday, but I just wanted to say how excited I am for the weekend.
Tonight Iām playing in Leiden for the first time at a new party concept @movidawibar with @therealkevinlo & @kleo_cleliazida
And Iām really looking forward to tomorrow as well. As you may have seen, Iām opening a record store @blackgravity.records and listening room on April 3rd. But tomorrow, weāll open the doors for a few hours already.
With Black Gravity Dance i invited @touching_bass for their 10-year anniversary. Weāll start the day with a listening session by @shungu_senga & @alexritaa , featuring her Calm Roots session.
At 5pm we move to Het Bos to dance into the night. The homeboy @errol.and and @naimaadams_ will play until 8:30, and after that Iāll be playing together with Nedda Sou until at least 1am.
