a year ago i decided to start this new era.
one that felt like the raw energy i had when i was younger, but translated through the skills, taste, and perspective iāve built since then.
DUMB was the first piece of that puzzle. My boy Sunshine Sam is an OG and one of my earliest collaborators and genuinely one of the few people who always understands the assignment and match my energy and even overtake it every time we work.
years back we dropped a song called STINKY that became a local hit. this was my attempt to rebuild that feeling and push it further. not just louder, but wider and even more fun š
now seeing it land on a big publication like @earmilk that actually understands what āplz listenā means to me is crazy.
they understood that the rough edges arenāt mistakes, theyāre choices

I get so discouraged putting out what I make bc I always see ppl around me dismissing me, try to finesse me, and so many bridges just burn even tho I just be chillin but the real ones been holding me down and ily fr
