К๏ร๓๏.3000 is an (extra)-terrestrial parasite from the year 3000 that manifests as sleek sighthounds forming mutualistic bonds with humans, like velcro, but more profound. Rather than hostile invaders, they are partners that enhance life with love, cockroach-cuddles, and increased oxygen intake. Once integrated, kosmo.3000 influences not just the host’s life but also their artistic and creative energy. Starting in 2023 with kosmo.3000’s arrival, by 2026 they are fully embedded in their human’s art and fashion practice. Influenced by this interstellar intelligence, the human sources discarded garments, cutting patterns for dog sweaters and re-patching holes for twinning fits for dogs and humans. Each piece embodies intergalactic responsibility; upcycled, re-patched, and reimagined in our Amsterdam studio, blending sci-fi with walkies-pragmatism. Starting 2026, К๏ร๓๏.3000 will launch a galaxy of one-off fits for sighthound fwends across the universe. Keep your eyes peeled for twinning-magic and small capsule-collections up cycling discarded garments and deadstock fabric. 🐶👽🛸🐾💚 Thank you @meis.jip for our inspiring and encouraging dog-walks and for taking these otherworldly photos of us. And thank you @afkarch for the unidentified anomalous phenomena of letter-assemblies, in other words our graphic-identity. #alien #twinning #sighthoundfashion #whippetfashion #upcyclingdogfashion

This year marks the pilot of my latest project @rietveld.fashion @rietveldacademie to incorporate the annual fashionshow into the curriculum of the department and support the graduating students with the development of the show concept. Starting from the question ‘What is a fashionshow & what else could it be?’. In this show, we experiment with the established hierarchical structure of what’s generally known as a fashion show; a catwalk on which models show looks, and an audience directed towards this catwalk, to see what’s on show. This years’ show slightly switches these roles. Visitors shift between being audience members and models. They too are on show, they too receive applause. As such, the perception of those involved in a fashion show, in the production of fashion, changes. Hierarchies and roles are blurred. The collections of this generation show an exploration of the body in its many (fleshy) forms and pieces. The bodies’ movement, the act of wearing clothes (including its tears and stains). But also, reinterpretations of that we thought we knew - ranging from the everyday to the abstract realm of symbolics and illusions, onto the level of questioning our humanness. (words by @femkedvrs ) This year’s fashionshow-identity and -campaign have been beautifully designed by @kadirann @annjuliejohanne @idunwahlgren @rietveld.graphic_design . The shownotes were designed as bags, turning the audience into models as they showcased the bags during the show. Thank you for convincing me to take on this responsibility @elisavanjoolen . And thank you for the ride and your trust to all graduates: @sm1kkel @quinzereis @iaiaiaiaiain @dante_romee_ @larissadejager @edrujula @atavistes @plukvanherwijnen @gijs_van_herwaarden @sgeetje @leahmannstudio please find additional credits in the comments 🫶🏼 💚💞❣️💘✨

👔⛓️🌀💚❣️✨ last weekend @ornamenta2024 came to an end. it was so beautiful to see ‘Binding Chapel’ being actively used to celebrate all kinds of ‘ships’-relationships, friendships, kinships, situationships- by so many different visitors of all ages, backgrounds and species, whether alone, together or as a collective, by wearing the collective garment and intertwining the chains and spirals to become an enormous spider web over the course of three months. thank you @annewillemmarcusschenk for the trust and having us as part of the Ornamenta curation. Also for teaming myself with @messe_halle & @_tatjanasturm , what a mad project to realise with such a dreamteam. certainly new friendships to celebrate through the spiral. thank you as well @wahl.katharina @julesvandenlangenberg thank you @digel.official for enabling me to give your deadstock a second life through this installation. thank you @binder.gruppe for all your support and letting us work with your magnificent materials and facilities. special thanks to @dorrithderoode & @augensteinsteinjewellery for all your hard work and keeping us sane during the development of ‘Binding Chapel’. The installation would not have seen the light of day without you. photography by @karolinasobel and footage shared by many others

‘Binding Chapel’, 2024, now on view as part of @ornamenta2024 in collaboration with @messe_halle @_tatjanasturm 👔⛓️🔗🌀💞💚❣️ A wooden pavilion turned temporary chapel reinterprets traditional wedding elements – bridal fashion, metal, and the role of the officiant – to create a space that celebrates any type of relationship, not just romantic ones. The chapel was activated in a series of ceremonies officiating diverse connections. A video documenting these ‘binding ceremonies’ invites visitors of all ages, backgrounds, and species to use the chapel and celebrate all kinds of ‘-ships’- relationships, friendships, kinships, situationships… The binding ceremonies feature artist @kasperbosmans confessing his love to emperor Rudolf II, fashion designer @haraldgloeoeckler_official honouring a life-long friendship with former nightclub owner @laura_halding_hoppenheit , and @sandrabaral celebrating her relationship with two alpacas from her farm @alpakashofgutbuckenberg . Trend forecaster and master of ceremony @lidewijedelkoort binds this group of people with a vowel scripted especially for Ornamenta’s Binding Chapel. These new rituals of kinship are accompanied by @smittness @sweet_boi_123 newest sound work for a portative organ. (no alpacas have been harmed for this work, the animals were carefully accustomed to the unfamiliar environment and guided by their trainer, who made sure the animals did not experience any form of distress. The ceremony was held without viewers or visitors.) Visit: ‘ Zum Eros:An exhibition on charisma, carriages and ceremonies’ Ewald-Steinle Pavillion, Wildpark Pforzheim Thanks a million for having me @happyhardcoreholland @julesvandenlangenberg @wahl.katharina & thank you @dorrithderoode for supporting me during the making process photography @karolinasobel @sandervanwettum

For Ornamenta’s ‘Binding Chapel’ I collaborated with @digel.official and got the opportunity to use their deadstock to work with as material, both unsold suits and fabric. To enhance the concept of the work, being a space dedicated to celebrating expanded ideas of relationships, I started my process with deconstructing the traditional, hence the grey business suit. By literally chopping up suit jackets and re-shaping them into a wearable sculpture, I give visitors the chance to connect with each other and beyond. The construction of the chapel and patchwork of pattern pieces, is based on the shape of the spiral; the spiral (or double helix) connecting all life, being the base of human & non-human DNA. Randomly sized and placed holes in the spatial structure suggest welcoming bodies of other shapes and needs beyond the human. The left-overs of both suits and fabric have been used to create a series of wearables for master of ceremonies Lidewij Edelkort, host & curator @annewillemmarcusschenk and performers of the portative organ @smittness & @sweet_boi_123 ‘Binding Chapel’ in collaboration with @messe_halle @_tatjanasturm @digel.official @binder.gruppe is on view as part of @ornamenta2024 5 July- 29 September 2024 Ewald Steinle-Pavilion, Wildpark Pforzheim 👔🔗💚💞❣️
