Thrilled that Your Name Means Dream has been recognised with 3 Greenroom Award nominations - Outstanding Lighting Design (Amelia Lever Davidson), Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role (Lucy Ansell) and Outstanding Direction (moi)… and, honestly truly, also Caroline Lee, Hahnie Goldfinch, Ian Moorhead deserve all the awards - this was a true ensemble. Love.
One for the grid… the beautiful Your Name Means Dream at @redstitch closes this weekend. I am so grateful to Red Stitch Actors Theatre for continuously punching far above their weight to bring exceptional artists together make exceptional art. Our beautiful show lets the astonishing Lucy Ansell and Caroline Lee interpret Jose Rivera’s @muchosanosdespues stunning script every night. Lights by @ameliald sound and composition by Ian Moorhead, and set costume design by @hahniegoldfinch assisted by Louisa Fitzgerald. Perfectly orchestrated every night by our SM Finn McLeish… accents by wonderful Matt Furlani… and to Charlie, Ella, Darcy, Olga, Sarah and everyone else at RS - thank you, thank you. Making theatre in mid-life when you are a parent, have a full time job, aging parents, etc, is haaaard. But this little gem came through.
