It’s here. As we approach our 25th season, we’re reflecting on where we came from, where we are, and where we’re going. Please consider donating today so we can keep telling bold, beautiful stories for many years to come.
For almost 25 years, Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre has been Melbourne’s “big little theatre” — where artists take creative risks, audiences experience world-class performances up close, and new Australian stories are born.
This year, we’re joining arts organisations across the country for Australia’s first National Day of Arts Giving.
Our short documentary, A Quarter Century Up Close, features beloved Red Stitch artists and supporters including Kat Stewart, Joanna Murray-Smith, Richard Watts, Ella Caldwell, Jing-Xuan Chan, and Mia Ushakov. The film shines a light on why independent theatre matters now more than ever.
Your gift on Giving Day will: • Support local artists and storytellers • Keep theatre accessible, alive, and independent • Contribute to our Future Fund, strengthening Red Stitch’s next chapter as we approach our 25th Anniversary in 2026
Every donation, big or small, helps us continue making theatre that’s intimate, courageous, and unforgettable.
