Yesterday's Adelaide Autumn Drive Day delivered the good vibes in a way that only Adelaide does. πππ
Our crews rugged up on a chilly day, each there for their own reasons but all with the common purpose of being part of community, genuinely connecting and of course, talking cars.
Our cruise took us from Balhannah to Angus River Reserve in Strathalbyn, then through the hills to end with lunch at
@thebarkerhotel . At each point when the group reconvened, the magic of what happens at DAD events was evident.
Conversations started about the day and the cars, about the story behind why and when cars were purchased, the feeling of taking it out for a drive. Then as connections were made, other stories emerged, about things that haven't been so easy and why cars and driving matter.
It showed again the value of reducing isolation, being seen and feeling connected.
There was an easefulness that encouraged conversations and the formation of new friendships, and at the end of lunch it wasn't "goodbye", it was "see you at the next one". ππ
Huge thanks to each of our participants who made yesterday what it was, and to our wonderful partners and supporters to make sure we were able to hit the road:
@ford - Platinum Partner and Event Vehicle Partner
@uniden - Gold Partner and raffle prize donor
@automotivesuperstore - Event supporter and raffle prize donor
@australianmotors - Support vehicle and raffle prize contribution
πΈ And our brilliant photographer, Zac Allen
See you at the next one. π
