A new barber asked me for some advice at @barberconnyc this past weekend. One of the biggest points I made to him was being proficient/skilled with all hair types and textures. It’s something I strive to do even 10 years in to my own career. Working in DTLA, I never really know who’s going to walk through the door. And I never want to turn away a client because I’m not comfortable providing what they want.
