I remember watching the very first episode of @bbceastenders 3 decades ago, a time when we would rush home to watch the few Black characters on TV. I think it's great that EastEnders have found a way to reflect modern day UK in a time when so many of us are finding ways to voice anti-racism. Thanks to my team @Thirtypoundgentleman & @mellymellove for all their support, Kate, Deborah, Kirsten, Jon, Toby, Suzette, Tameka and all at EastEnders who made us feel so at home. Big up to Bella for sitting for this piece that will be a permanent backdrop in future episodes for years to come. 📍Ian Beales House, Bridge Street, Walford, East London, E20

The Isle of Thanet is a peninsula forming the easternmost part of Kent, England. While in the past it was separated from the mainland by the 600-metre-wide Wantsum Channel, it is no longer an island. Data shows that although the majority of Thanet is likely to remain dry, the isle itself could actually become an island again. It is predicted that by 2050 Climate change could bring the return of the Wantsum Channel, splitting Thanet from mainland Britain again.Sadly just in the same way as many low-lying countries and smaller islands around the world will have to evaluate how they deal with rising sea levels, many parts of the UK will also need to turn their attention to this increasingly impactful crisis. This mural depicts two local Thanet children playing with sandcastles on the beach, water rising all around the castle, and asks whether it is fair to leave this scenario for the young and as-yet unborn to deal with. This mural was one of 15 murals painted during the RISE UP RESIDENCY, a week-long mural festival and educational programme spearheaded by @riseupcleanup and my good friend @louismassai Local and international artists created public art as a means of raising awareness of ocean conservation and the issues caused by plastic in and near our oceans. From documenting ocean biodiversity to plastic hazards and ocean species, the murals intended to act as an educational backdrop for the town. The aim was to inspire, unite and empower the community of Margate and its visitors to partake in reducing plastics and respecting the ocean.  Thx to Louis,  @honor_greenwood , @thisbedistoosmall & all the production team & supporters who put in work behind the scenes & all my fellow artists who made this one of the best experiences Thanks to Shona and Daisy for sitting, their mothers Faith & Sarah, and @peopledemcollective for connecting us. Big up @lornaallanad for the reference shoot photography. Thx to the volunteers, @horganjane & @dangarbergarber & all the Cliftonville community & @sw.smartherapy for the much appreciated post mural massage 📸: 1&2 @wallkandy 3 @rebeccadouglasphotography 4 @conorgaultphoto 📍22 Danesmead Terrace Cliftonville, CT9 1RF

Mural for @tolucoker AW26 show, opening event of London fashion week. This show is Tolu’s ode to Britain and London. It honours the council estate that shaped her through adolescence, joy, grief, guilt and her journey back home. It is a love letter to inner children and to those loved and lost, a reminder that grief and joy share the same breath, and that community is a wealth money cannot buy. Coincidentally, Tolu and my wife’s family were once next-door neighbours on the Mozart Estate, West London. Thanks to Art Director @tj.saw1 for the invitation and @highcommish and set designer @maureenkargbo for being a pleasure to work with.  Big up to @kingdsane , @mellymellove & @zeha_imran for their help making this happen.

‘Solidarity Over Solitude’ Part of the ongoing ‘Strength’ mural and print series by @blankwalls__ Solidarity over solitude is an ode to the quiet power of standing together. It reflects the belief that human unity, mutual support, and collective action hold greater value than facing the world alone. It is a call to prioritise community and shared purpose, especially in times of crisis or when working toward common goals. This print celebrates the beauty of human connection - how voices grow stronger in harmony, how burdens become lighter when shared, and how healing so often begins with the simple act of showing up for one another. Available at Blank Walls' online shop.

Great evening at the Private View of @zoelawlondon exhibition at the @nationalportraitgallery Zoe took this photo of me prior to painting the wall during the 'Rise Up' residency in Margate organised by @louismasaimichel in 2022. Was so good to see the portraits of many of the other artists who were part of the residency and reconnect with some of the artists and production crew who made it up from Margate. This photograph has been aquired by the National Portrait Galley as part of their permanent collection. Big up and congrats to Zoe for a strong body of work that I'm honoured to be part of.
