I work with people every day that are frustrated over what they can’t do.. either pain/weakness is a limiting factor or they are too afraid to try. But we all start somewhere!
This was back in 2022 - on/off for years I was dealing with bouts of debilitating back pain and was told the usual: rest, avoid heavy lifting, be careful. I stayed in my comfort zone for a long time and never really thought to do more or believed I could (I couldn’t even do 1 lil push up to save my life!)
Until @dr.j_base told me to stfu and get to work! & honestly that changed everything :)
Now, as both a clinician and a coach, empowering others to trust & have confidence in their abilities is the work that matters most to me. Thank you @move_toronto for giving me the space to do that 💖

in this season of change I am constantly reflecting on who I was, who I am, and who I am going to be. The best decision I’ve ever made (and continue to make) is to embrace & accept change 🫶🏼
Our skin regenerates, thank God my liver regenerates 🤪, but our brains are different. They adapt & rewire through every challenge, shift, & moment of discomfort shaping new pathways - literally changing who we become.
And now, as I grow a nervous system from scratch (!!!!???!!!?!?!), it feels even more real. Change isn’t something to resist, it’s the very process that builds us.❤️
When people come into my space with pain or movement limitations and ask “do you think this will ever get better?” My answer is always YES.
YES - with the right guidance it takes time, work, willingness to implement manageable change, and intention.
