playing @ubbidubbifest this weekendddddd and just put the finishing touches on one of my most bassiest sets ever, can’t wait to share this music with you tomorrow 🫧🪼
mammoth you have my heart, thank you @arcteryxacademy@arcteryx@backcountry@mammothmountain for having me contribute to such an insane event last weekend 🩵❄️
my two biggest loves in life are music and mountain sports, and I know this sounds cheesy, but I truly am so grateful for these opportunities to bring them together in all sorts of creative ways alongside the best humans🥹
I never know what to say when people ask my to explain my process so they can replicate it — best I can offer is to go outside and write what you hear 🌱
most of my music is really just a love letter to the Idaho wilderness
TEXAS! I’m so hype to be playing @ubbidubbifest for the first time next year — sign up for tickets and I’ll see you there 🪼

Episode Two of FIELD NOTES drops Friday, and I dug deep into some heartbreak and frustrations with the music industry on this one.
We’re drowning in content, but starving for meaning.
Being an artist in 2025 feels so incredibly dark at times, and I know I’m not the only one with this experience or perspective. We’re living under a kind of cultural fascism, where we’re given the illusion of freedom, but everything still has to fit inside of a format that pleases the algorithm and doesn’t ruffle any feathers. From an outsiders perspective, it seems that social media would be the absolute worst place for a musician or artist to try to grow and share their work, yet it’s at the forefront of any marketing strategy.
Artists used to disappear for years and come back with one piece that changed the perspective of a generation, or started riots and fed revolutions. Now, if you’re not uploading something nearly every day, you’re irrelevant.
I don’t want to live like that.
I could go on about how bleak things are feeling with AI looming in the wings, and with music and art being commodified more than ever; the highest forms of creativity in this country are being used to sell things rather than being appreciated for their inherent value. But I have to have faith that there is a counter movement to all of this brewing, and I’m doing some course-correcting to stay true to my values through all of this.
If you actually read all this, and have any suggestions for artists and musicians to check out who are taking risks and speaking their truth, please drop them in the comments. Let’s shine some light on the real ones out there who are creating for the love of it, despite it all.
made it another lap around the sun 🎂🎈
so grateful for this life and all the incredible people in it with me ~ what a blessing it is to be on this earth
