Koenig found himself flipping through his hotel room TV before stumbling onto Hard Ticket To Hawaii, one of Andy & Arlene Sidaris’ many legendary ‘80s B movies — or as they preferred BBB movies for “bullets, bombs and babes.” The husband and wife duo’s absurd, excessive, yet notably positive spin on exploitation action films went on to provide a welcome relief to Koenig during the coming lockdown and provide many of the album’s microspliced samples. “Those movies were a source of happiness for me, there’s a lightheartedness to them that’s really unique,” Koenig explains. “Whatever was going on I could just put myself in these beautiful, tropical worlds.” The album he’s ended up with feels like a sunny, busy world unto itself.” Produced by Nmesh @nmeshofficial Cover art by Andrew Walker @designsince86 Mastered for Vinyl & Digital by Zac Emerson @world0fecho
