take it with however many grains of salt you wish, but this mix that is circulating around us, is not specifically too good - it’s suggested that you do stay away from it; of course, it’s your own trip, so, be my guest - but please be advised that there is a warning on this one, okay. 🥴
this 30-minute mix was a one-off i put together for the 15th episode of Terminal Radio, aptly titled “a monstrous psychedelic terminal exploding in your radio”, and was curated by longtime FSOL documentarian, friend and collaborator
@imogenofa - this transmission was directly inspired by the
@futuresoundoflondon ’s “amorphous androgynous” output, right around the time i was lucky enough to contribute an official remix for the ‘cartel: remixes’ LP for record store day 2014 - i can’t overstate what a big deal this was for me - i managed to cop the physical at
@guestroomrecordslouisville bright and early - still to this day i can’t help but blurt out (if the conversation warrants it) that i appeared on an album with noel gallagher, to often confused reactions (he played guitar and bass on the record) - although i was in even better company already, as there were mixes from
@strictlykev and
@youthmartin of killing joke featured on the same piece of plastic - but i digress... i mentioned in a post a couple weeks back, this mix didn’t quite fit the bill for the ‘psychic surgery’ anthology that i put up digitally in 2013, so i didn’t include it there - until now, this was only available to listen to on mixcloud, and the full 2-hour transmission seems to have disappeared into the ether, as things do - nevertheless, here was my contribution, and there’s a solid chance i may be doing more mixes in this style in the near future, as i’ve been collecting tracks for such an occasion for the last decade. ✌️
