This is 'Workaholics Wanonymous', our submission to the Cardiff Quick Draw, a 48-hour animation event! we really did our thing on this one, and despite the tightness of the deadline, we were able to get everything done with a super fun, easygoing nature. @rob_scales_ and @nocoisloco really killed it with the voice acting, and the animation turned out so so nice! this was an incredible pleasure to be a part of, and i hope we get to make more things together in the future!!
WHAT’S UP EVERYBODY!! I’m @doodoops_art (or Aidan) and I’m an animator, digital compositor, and small-time art teacher! My recent posts have been work I’ve done for various projects, and right now I’m trying (and half-succeeding) to figure out how Blender works so I can pull off some all-new, way crazier stuff. I joined up with the collective because art (and life in general) is always more fun when you’re around friends. Hope to share a whole lot of cool stuff with you guys!
THE MIKEY REDRAWS!!!!! Finally dug thru the files!
This is something I honestly should've posted like a year ago, but life seriously got away from me for awhile there. This was a sequence where Mikey snaps, so @chimpanxanax and I felt like that moment had to be special, so I came up with this! Everybody knocked it out of the park, and I'd like to use this post to honor everyone who contributed!

wanted to show off the process of our big flashy final shot from Workaholics Wanonymous!! @iam.mia.am.i took what was essentially a single stickman storyboard and fleshed it out into this claustrophobic, complex scene. in some of our final hours, i added a couple things here and there to finish it up, then threw a bunch of effects onto it with da-vinci resolve! the final shot itself is played at about twice the speed, but i thought the original speed would make the process easier to see, piece-by-piece!

the backgrounds i did for workaholics wanonymous! i tried to base the wonky perspective on vewn's films and the way that the backgrounds kind of bend their perspective in service to the scene and overall composition. think it helped made the world of the film feel distinct!
hey guys! back from spamming reels to show you some of the work I made for the Philly Animators' submission to the @cardiffquickdraw challenge! these rough animations of Host (voiced by @nocoisloco ) were some of my favorites to do, and i'm especially happy with the idea of him drawing a stick figure as he speaks. thanks to the delivery of the voice lines, i was able to improvise something fun for the character to do! i also wanted to show off these quick character sheets i made! with a project this small, we didn't need much, but making sure we had multiple angles of the main speakers of the film wound up being really helpful.
massive thanks to @nateanimates_ for getting us together on another incredible collaborative project! it was such a pleasure to work with everyone, and i hope we get many more chances to do so in the future!
This illustration by @magismol.v and I was an @artists.against.apocalypse project in collaboration with @826la . We were really touched by the story that Ailyn told, and did our best to recreate the ethereal comfort of a beloved, ghostly sleep companion. Swipe to see the story she wrote!
here's a pitch packet for a short animation that @salsa_jem and i made back in january! i'm still so so proud of us for how it turned out, and getting it done in 4 weeks, and it's got me invigorated to make even cooler, stronger pitches in the future!
i made all this stuff last year as part of a film by @fifi.and.lee (which you can find on YouTube, it's called 'ALL MINE')! I did all the animation for this goober named Eel using a combination of TVPaint and vector layers of Clip Studio Paint. Overall, it was a really great experience, and I learned a lot!!
