RIP ESON
I’ve known Eric since our elementary school days at Biscayne Gardens Elementary. We weren’t good friends outside of school, he lived on the east side of 95, and I grew up on the west side of 95. Two totally different friend groups. I moved out of North Miami to Pines in 7th grade. Years later we reconnected in the Advocate Program. Some of y’all will know what I’m talking about.
I was in the program for my first graffiti arrest in ‘98. You had to speak to a group of people about how you got arrested and what you plan to do to not let that happen again.
He heard me tell my story of getting popped for tagging on 95 and we started talking and quickly figured out that we knew each other.
We both for some reason were on the same path, just getting into graffiti and really looking up to Crome and the MSG guys. And had a real appetite for highway spots.
We both found our way into MSG completely independently around the same time. We are in the same generational class of the crew. After Beno passed in ‘97, the guys that joined in 98 & 99.
We both repped MSG as hard as we could. My favorite spot we painted was the old Crome & Hest church roof top, a big ugly MSG. Hurricane Wilma came and ripped the roof off and left the bottom portion of the MSG until it got torn down.
I always felt a connection to Eson. He waved the MSG flag and carried our crew when we were at our lowest. Eson & Heat carried the crew the during our weakest point in crew history.
To everyone seeing this post, if you didn’t know him, just know he was a ruthless illegal highway graffiti bomber for the MSG Crew.
I chopped up the old VICE episode featuring Eson. This is how he wanted to be remembered.
Rest in peace old friend. 💔

“CROOK & CROME”
One of the most epic moments in Miami Graffiti history, on one canvas. The “Crook & Crome” story. Established in 1999. From Broward to Biscayne. From Miami to Paris. From the dungeons of Dade County jail, to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Hard to tell the whole story in one painting. If you know you know. Crazy how much things have changed since those days. This is really Crome’s story. I came along at a time in that story and added to what he was already doing. A moment in Miami Graffiti history that will never be forgotten.
Shout out the legend @crome21305 and the legendary @msgcrew
Got a few people to thank for this one. I appreciate the love and support @carly305__@a.l.l.i.s.o.n.f@alankets@prisperez305@pitbull@voli305vodka@cushygigs

Crook & Crome on Channel 6 back in ‘99
Epic footage from the Kemo archives
If you watch closely you can see the detective holding the tape he used to hang the MSG banner off the side of the apartment.
The same banner the news said we had hanging off the apartment and that was how the police caught Crook & Crome.
Some classic spots including the infamous MSG wall across from Joe Robbie in Carol City, and a reporter doing a live spot in front of the Freedom Tower back when it was abandoned in 1999.
Enjoy.

STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam.
This place is Amazing. A huge Street Art & Graffiti Museum in an old factory on the industrial side of Amsterdam packed with all the heavy hitters.
Nice to see some of the homies reppin’ @hoxxoh & @entesdmjc at the entrance and exit, and the homie @atomiko in the gift shop. Even @wynwoodwallsofficial gets a well deserved spot on the history of Graffiti & Street Art timeline.
This place is dope. One of my favorite stops along my Europe trip. Highly recommended.

Royal Crown Cola / Miami Plant / Wynwood
Made some more progress on the RC Cola sign restoration. Just a few finishing touches and it will@be 100% done. I’m hyped at how it’s coming out.
I have a few people to thank for helping make this happen.
The homie @glaysonleroy handing over the keys to the lift. The homie @banegroves on look out while his daughter filmed. A huge thank you to the good people @cushygigs for letting me store the sign and allow me to complete the restoration in the shop. The homie @hoxxoh recommended @olisan321 from Swamp Space to fully restore the sign, he brought this sign back to life, even added the bracket to hang it. I painted it. The homie @miamisignshop cut the vinyl for the letters. @miamiquake applied the vinyl stencil, I added that last coat of paint and now this little piece of Miami Graffiti history will hopefully outlive all of us.
The next mission will be putting a replacement RC Cola sign back on the original spot. Who wants to help make that happen?

March 10th 1999 is a day that I will never forget. The day cops busted into my apartment and took me to jail.
They put my name and my face all over the news. Every local channel covered the story. Channel 4, Channel 6, Channel 7, Channel 10 and even Telemundo.
The state attorney begged the judge to give me a 1 million dollar bail. The judge decided $50,000 was sufficient.
What a lot of people don’t know is how the case ended and how we beat the charges. Luckily for me and Crome the police decided to raid the apartment without a search warrant.
They won the short term battle but ultimately lost the war because of that decision. They figured out where we lived, busted in our apartment, threw us in jail and tried to convict us in the court of public opinion.
That plan backfired for the police. The judge was scolding the detectives telling them that the police trampled on my rights, every second that they were in my apartment they were illegally trespassing.
The police actually had me sign a hand written search warrant to give them permission to search the apartment, hours after they illegally broke into the apartment.
My attorney filed a motion to suppress evidence based on the violation of my 4th amendment rights.
The 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects individuals from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government and establishes requirements for issuing warrants.
It ensures that law enforcement generally needs a warrant, issued by a judge or magistrate and based on probable cause, before intruding on a person’s privacy or property.
One of the detectives told the truth on the stand, his story matched mine, the judge granted the motion and threw out all the evidence that was obtained illegally.
After that my attorney filed a motion to have the case dismissed based on their lack of evidence because the only evidence that had on us was what they found in our apartment.
Channel 6 was the only station to cover this case to the end. This is one of the stories that aired when all the evidence got thrown out.
I’ll tell the full story one day when they do a Crook & Crome documentary.

La Perla 🇵🇷 🏀
Dropping backwards half court shots at Mi Gente Basketball Court in La Perla.
Watched the sunset from El Morro, walked down to La Perla for some drinks along the beach. At the very end you come up to one of the coolest courts. Ocean on one side, castle walls on the other side. We had the court all to ourselves, with an audience walking by above me cheering me on.
Puerto Rico is a beautiful place. 🇵🇷🐸 🌊🌴❤️
