Last week we were getting caught in the rain, drinking lemon frothed Camparis (what was that amazing invention by the way??), and chatting away to beautiful people at the Venice Biennale. Bvlgari were a big moment on the map of the event this year, since it announced it would be the exclusive partner for the next 3 editions of Art Biennale.

Last week we had the honour of a private visit of Museo di Palazzo Grimani in Venice, to both discover its history, but also admire Amoako Boafo’s solo exhibition of his black community portraits at Venice Biennale.
Millennia of art under 1 roof, in Italy that’s not an uncommon occurrence. This is the palace of a dynasty that was once one of the most influential in Venice, but that all changed a few centuries later.

I’ve had this incredible Japanese obi belt made out of silk with hand embroidery for more than a year now, I have been waiting for the perfect moment to wear it outside of Japan. And when I was deciding what to wear for an incredible dinner at Venice Biennale with @manoloblahnik & @archhades , I realise that there is perhaps no better place to wear something this extra extraordinary and extra than the home of decadence. I used this beautiful classic black dress from @newarrivals.co as the base, and the Japanese belt turned it into an outfit where the off Venetian Renaissance parties (would have probably gotten my fair share of frowns though). And of course the final touch were the green satin crystal Manolos.

Yesterday’s incredible moments with @bvlgari under @jr ’s “Il Gesto” facade installation at the Venice Venice Hotel. We ended the night with some of my favourite duo @studio.drift , and @chihulystudio , all of them visible from the Academia Bridge. Apologies to all the previews and events we missed! It’s been a few very busy days

Every two years, Venice stops being a city and becomes something else entirely. The art world, the fashion world, the design world and a significant number of people who collect seriously and travel accordingly, all descend on Harry’s bar at the same time for an atmospheric after hours Bellini.
The 61st Venice Art Biennale “In Minor Keys” opens May 9th and runs through November 22nd, 2026. Conceived by Koyo Kouoh, the first African curator in the history of Biennale Arte, and completed by her team after her sudden passing last year. The show goes on exactly as she intended it.
I’m not here for the Giardini or the Arsenale. I’m here for the other Biennale, the one that happens inside Renaissance palazzos with no queue and sometimes, a bell you have to ring to get in. Private press previews. Collateral exhibitions in rooms that were already extraordinary before anyone put contemporary art in them. The kind of luxury cultural experience that doesn’t need advertising, just an address and a time.
I’ve spent almost twenty years in luxury fashion, with a side of hospitality, architecture and interior design (one of the best inspiration for fashion by the way). I thought I understood how these worlds of art, craft and beauty worked. Contemporary art looked at my experience and said “charming, irrelevant, come in anyway”.So i did.
This is “The Hunting Season”. A series about what happens when you get access to the rooms most people never find, in the most beautiful city in the world, during the most important contemporary art event on the international cultural calendar.
