Tomorrow, on the 8th of May is my debut concert with @block4recorders !
Showtime at 19:30 (a bit earlier than usual!)
We are presenting our new program, Her Voice, all around female composers from the medieval times till today.
This concert is excellent practice for us for later this month when we are traveling to England to play (and teach) at Saltaire Recorder Festival.
Tomorrow's show is going to be opened by @susanne_froehlich !

Kis Dodó harmadik kurátori koncertjén végre kiereszthettük a gőzt. A hónapot a Rage Against the Washing Machine zárta – egy felszabadult, energikus, már-már punkba hajló improvizatív este, amely teret adott a szabad áramlásnak és a határok feszegetésének.

Kis Dodó második kurátori koncepciója, az All Ages Dance Club intergenerációs tánc–zene találkozás: zenészek és táncosok közösen hoztak létre spontán, performatív eseményt, ahol a jelenlét, a figyelem és az egymásra reagálás került a középpontba. A Freedom / FreeSZFE leendő színháztermének különleges terében a közönségnek is lehetősége nyílt a térbe belépve mindezt több szempontból megfigyelnie és átélnie.

I prepared a program full of music from my home country Hungary, there will be modern pieces as well as folk music. In the second set, the one and only Niels Brouwer is joining me for some Bartók.

In the past few weeks I've been working together with Allan Seagull on his new composition that he wrote for me 😍
It's called Nocturnes, for bass recorders, piano and tape. It's been really nice working on contemporary music again and going into all the little details. The unlikely marriage of recorder and piano made this process a nice challenge!
We are presenting Nocturnes this Sunday in @splendoramsterdam under the umbrella of Monoták, where Allan and I are the newest members.
There will be other works as well by Thomas Myrmel, Ivo Bol, Dirk Bruinsma and Paul Glazier.
It starts at 15h.
