Juicy Bitz is bizack! This week features guest and DC’s very own, Djoser. Just in time to launch spring. @djoserdc 🌬️🌱🌸🌺🌻🌱 “Djoser, the musical alias of Shady Daoud, is a Nubian-Egyptian born Washington, DC-based producer and DJ known for his distinctive and energetic approach to low-end frequencies. Drawing inspiration from his love for off-killer percussion, dubstep, and his studies of Nubian music, Djoser has been crafting a unique and intangible bass sound. As a member of the DC collective L.E.N.G., he has has played a pivotal role in developing the city’s club scene and has brought in acclaimed international acts. In 2020, Djoser released his “Secret Greeting” EP on Martyn’s 3024 label, which garnered attention and marked him as one to watch. Known for his bass-heavy mixes and broken rhythms ranging from dubstep to drum & bass to leftfield techno, Djoser continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences with his immersive soundscapes. In 2022, Djoser made notable strides in his career, releasing a new EP on Loosee and delivering captivating mixes for Ransom Note and Traunts, which earned him multiple “Mix of the day” features on Resident Advisor (@resident_advisor ). Additionally, Djoser showcased his remixing skills by working on tracks for artists such as Pluralist, Milo Tech, Nosho & Mezey, and Jet. These achievements have further solidified his status of an artist to watch in 2023 (by Mixmag @mixmag ), with industry insiders recognizing his talent and potential for continued success” Come see him smash it for his debut at Juicy Bitz alongside myself.. only at @18thstlounge ❌ Sunday, March 15th ❌ 9pm ❌ FREE ALL NIGHT.
