Doing a shorter random early set on a Tuesday because DENMO asked me to. Going to play some stuff I don’t often get to play. And some stuff I haven’t played yet. Should be fun.
I used to play to crowds of thousands fairly regularly. This was the biggest crowd in a while. Good to know I can still get it done. Afterwards someone came up and told me I must be one of the greatest DJs ever to have a crowd of nerds going so hard the whole time. It was a statistics convention. Apparently it’s usually a bunch of wallflowers shoe gazing the whole time. Trying to join them in Nashville next year.
A little more than 2 years ago I went to a @secretrollerdisco because my friend Ashleigh told me they needed a DJ that night. They didn’t let me play that night because they didn’t know me, but booked me for something soon afterward. Since then I’ve done it so many times and am so proud whenever I get to be involved in this very Portland thing. @secretrollerdisco thanks for the love. I love you back.
