Last month after a proper stint in the woods at Camp Kennybrook and a visit with my family in Cooperstown, I drove to Buffalo to help @ktronandfriends put on their @buffalounderground.dance stage at @musicisartbflo . A delightful gathering of expression, enjoyment, and goofery was had. Special thanks also to @eerie_official for having us at @thegypsyparlor , and to @_lorenzob for joining along and enriching every step of the ride. What a time! It is truly a blessing to live life expressively, and to create spaces for enjoyment with loved ones and strangers alike. Here’s to continuing forward with inspiration, spiritual integrity, and love. Keep on movin’ 💪🩷

Hi yall! Allow me to reintroduce myself. The name is Gem, dj name DJem (pronounced the same). Happy to be here, let’s fucking party!

We love a last minute gig, especially when it’s at Animal. @bodyart.now in the booth tonight for another Tuesday. Last time we played for 8 hours, so let’s see about doing that again. The first photo deserves a shoutout to Clair Ball for the adorable hats. Got some disco deep digs and rainy day selections ready to rock, and its free all night. 8pm-2(?)am 307 Meeker Ave.

GIGS! @bodyart.now be DJing. First off we are at @dadabarnyc tomorrow with @daniel_tepper aka DJ MFA for a lowkey Valentines Day hangout and even more lowkey birthday hangout for @ktronandfriends (it’s me). Adding a little @fullspectrum.aiff eye candy to the space. It’s only $5-$10 (suggested donation) from 8pm-2am. Lovers, friends, enemies? As long as you dance. Then next week Wednesday, we share a bill with the one of a kind @primopreems at @pianosnyc from 10pm-4am. Come hangout in the LES area and listen to some whacked out funky music of all varieties. Big shoutout to @crihsshirc for taking these amazing shots of us at @nowadaysnyc Em and I have been through SO much this last year. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without each other. Not without the pure love and compassion we hold for each other, both as lovers, and as friends. We knew we really wanted to play something together for Valentine’s Day, and celebrate each other by doing the thing we’ve always done together. The first time we met, it was at @bossanovacivicclub on a Tuesday. Em wanted to show me some other spots, so we wandered over to @happyfunhideaway where we played together for the first time at a @steenschmidt open decks. Fast forward to now, we’ve gone from 15 minute open deck sets to 8 hour sets at @animal.nyc and it’s just been such an amazing experience being a part of this journey with someone I care about so much. Come dance with us February 12 to do some early V-Day stuff. We are also celebrating my birthday early (It’s Feb 21st), and we have one of our favorite selectors that happens to be a heady local, @daniel_tepper aka DJ MFA setting the tone for 3 hours before we take over as @bodyart.now for the last 3 hours. Danceable slow jams are the theme, but who knows what we end up playing. We are also adding some @fullspectrum.aiff touch to the space.
