Fundido is a deejay and producer duo made up by Latane Hughes and Will Scher. For the last 10 years, they have been bring the party all over Brooklyn. Recently they put out a track with Emma Defaux, along with Miles Felix who produced it. Some time ago, we took advantage of some warm weekend weather over the winter and shot some photos.
Saturday Fundido celebrates 10 years of Fun at Baby’s All Right in Williamsburg with a great line up featuring Pender Street Steppers.

The Carry Nation September marathon sent me. Never had I experienced music visuals such as I did the last marathon. We all knew the girls were going to show up. But man, the production was 15/10. It was amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting @breakfastgarbowski after the party, I mentioned to them what that party meant to me. This Sunday it will be more of the same if not better. It was my favorite experience all year. 15 hour set was no joke. People, community, everyone had an amazing time. Shout to @bennysoto and the rest of The Carry crew that made this possible.

Crihs Thormann is a New York City–based photographer whose boundless energy and deep appreciation for music draw him into the city’s vibrant nightlife.
Thormann holds a BFA in Fine Art from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
“In early 2025, I felt a creative spark again. I began photographing nightlife, particularly at a “small club on Grand street”. It wasn’t a planned project, but something that grew organically from genuine excitement, the energy of the place, and the right timing. Because flash photography isn’t allowed there, I began experimenting with ultra-grainy film—3200 ISO, the highest you can get. I shot with a QL 17, wide open at f/1.7, at 1/15 or 1/30 of a second. Sometimes I got lucky; sometimes I didn’t. For a while, I used both digital and film, but digital felt too easy. I wanted the challenge of film—the difficulty, the imperfection, the texture. Like a vinyl DJ, I wanted to honor the craft in its purest form”.

For the past year, I have been shooting photographs at “this little club on Grand Street”. When I began, I never expected it to turn into a body of work that I would show in a gallery. The more the idea felt real, the more I focused on refining what I wanted this work to look like. I spent so much time on that space, that I began to notice certain things about the room. Sounds the room makes because of the music. Reflections from objects. How small it actually is. Often times because of the low light my shutter speed cannot keep up with the people. Music affects the lighting on the floor and the crowd affects the only available light I have available to photograph.
I hope these photos show the emotion that I feel when I am photographing.

It’s been a minute since I posted a “lost rolls”. This was back in 2011. When I had endless energy to ride 35-70+ miles a day. Working in the city 9-5, then heading to Willy B/Greenpoint to work 5 hours delivering food. This was a few years before the apps took over and there was a good amount of money to be made. Now if you make $250 in a day it’s considered good. I was making that in about 3-4hrs some nights.
