new equipment, new-ish approach! equipment: right after the sound clash my old controller started refusing to connect, so i now have a different one. you may hear artifacts of this change in mixes going forward, little bits of "experimentation" here and there (read: errors). approach: i realized while putting together the crate for this mix that it's time for a change. it's been taking me too long to put out mixes, which affects the "fresh"ness of them, which was part of the original concept. main reason for this is volume -- there is way too much music to keep up with. my efforts to be more choose-y about purchases have helped a little, but i still ended up with 450 tunes in this crate. so new idea -- curate the crate more, rather than the mix. thus far i've been planning out the order of each mix. i saw the process more as "presenting" tunes, trying to emphasize the strengths of each through context (always considered myself more of a selector than DJ). while i've enjoyed doing this, it's also quite time-consuming. so going forward i plan to freestyle all mixes. the aim is to get closer to real-time posting again, possibly even back to doing weeklies. this series is the first in this new approach. these were recorded live on Low Pressure Zone over the course of six consecutive days. i used same crate for each mix, and removed the tunes i played each session to avoid repeats. special thanks to: @knowledgemcr @gordodubz @idhsmusic @youcefamoura_ @___mauja___ @herbivore_samadhi @hourfriendsound Sovrei dubfreqbristol @weaponsgrademusic @1xxe__ @garrettfieldss shouts to @deeptempo140 and big up to everyone else featured: Unknown Artist J.Robinson @soundsoftenshu Darkfella Topaz @datra.skimir @rafa_wav @deapohdubs @changerltd @masot.f @drewdrewdub @_ponda Hollow Coves LAS @nomine_aka_outrage @allenmockmusic @teffa.oe @4ndym4rtin @anecho_nl @mungkdubs @contactghost tcp @djmaddbeats @runaakidubz @scetta_music

WTF is LPZ? Low Pressure Zone (LPZ) is a community-run internet radio venture that started up last year. just a bunch of Dubstep/music enthusiasts sharing a space online and playing music. there's a link to our website (lowpressurezone.com) in my linktree.
