OUT NOW! A long overdue vinyl pressing of @dissolveband #CavemanOfTheFuture !!! Dissolve are Hudson Valley Hardcore legends. They led the way with their off-kilter-metal influenced brand of in your face admonishing pummeling sounds. Their first demo was released in 1993 and it took decades for the world around them to catch up to their sound. Caveman of the Future was recorded in 2000 (originally set for a release on MIA records which folded in on itself by the set August 2000 release date) and lost to time. It resurfaced in 2008 and thankfully made its way onto CD ( @tmlabs845 ). The story is more fully documented on the comprehensive inner included with this release. And now, finally, decades later it is available on vinyl. We couldn’t be more excited about getting it in folks’ hands. A one time limited edition of 300 copies on cover matching splatter vinyl. “Dissolve did it before your favorite band and that band probably loves Dissolve. Original Dismantle CDs available now at our Bandcamp! A box of 100 Dismantle CDs was recently unearthed at the Elevator records storage space, and we scooped them all up! These are from the original run, almost 30 years ago, and we thought these were gone forever. This past Sunday, something more important than the Super Bowl happened. The ever mysterious and elusive @dissolveband played @spaceballroom with @killerkinband @intercoursenoise and @cttboto for a @redscroll showcase. @facephoto_77 was chosen to immortalize it’s moments and we are lucky enough to bring them to you. Behold.

This Sunday, 2/9/25, we’re playing the @redscroll showcase at @spaceballroom with @cttboto @intercoursenoise and @killerkinband . We’ll be playing a greatest hits set from every era of our 34 year “career”. We will also have shirts and records for sale. It’s going to be a ridiculous amount of fun.

We just released their latest record, Burnt and absolutely were honored and stoked to do so. Dissolve has been around since 1991 and released records with wide time gaps between them. They endure and we talk about how that works with their band and how those releases have progressed to the most recent record, Burnt. We talk about the bands they played with and other bands they were in. We talk briefly about Paul’s writing career (a book of short stories called Weakling Planet) and how that relates to how he writes lyrics. Very sad to hear that @elmcityvintagedave has passed away. He was so creative. His Tune Inn photos were downright iconic and captured the spirit of those days perfectly. He will be missed.
