New gear who dis?? So recently @discopill let me try his @djtechtools MIDI Fighter Twister and test it out with my live-looping setup. I fell in love with it and decided to get my own. Today is the three year anniversary of our first release as Gold Bloc Records. Where does the time go?! Yesterday we said goodbye to my great Uncle Bob. He was one of only sixteen Navy Pearl Harbor survivors when he passed at 100 this December. When I was kid he would tell me war stories and sing Navy chants in my grandmas dining room and was known to bust a move at the drop of a dime. He always had a smile and story for us and was ever present at the family functions where his laugh could be heard from across the house. My cousin @heynow_dlo took him on adventures across the states and he had an insatiable appetite for fun. I got a lot of my cues from him growing up and I feel lucky to have existed on earth at the same time as him. We won’t forget you or your huge heart Uncle Bob. 🫡
