Australian DJ/record collector based in Copenhagen for the last 7 years dedicated to exploring sounds from all corners of the dancing planet whilst reissuing forgotten African gems via his record label Rebel Disko. As co-founder of Club Soda and DJ collective Uhuru Express he sends waves of hypnotic tribal drum rhythms along with soul-fuelled disco and house, looking to challenge the borders of traditional club music.

The story of Zambia’s greatest rock band WITCH is the story of Zamrock itself. Back in April 2023 they electrified the world with the news that they would be releasing their first record in an extraordinary 39 years.
The most incredible thing about WITCH’s story may well be that they are here to tell it. The WITCH story begins in the ‘60s. As idolisers of British and American rock stars like The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix, Emmanuel ‘Jagari’ Chanda and his friends clung to copies of Melody Maker as the sounds of British radio permeated cities like Lusaka. By the mid’-70s, they were at the centre of an explosive scene performing their own brand of riotous rock-and-roll music infused with percussive African rhythms and a world-is-ours mentality. They called it ‘Zamrock’, and WITCH (We Intend to Cause Havoc, to give them their full name) became infamous for their seven-hour live shows and incendiary on-stage antics.
The press dubbed them “Zambia’s Beatles” as they became renowned by fans all across Africa.

Celebrating 50 years of Folketshus 🥳🎉❣️🎂 where Uhuru Express found its feet last year, hosting numerous Open Air Sessions, Banner Drops, Communal Dinners and Wintery seated arrangements, helping us through tricky times whilst bringing awareness to social injustice.
It been an honor to support Folketshus - ‘The People’s House’ - on many occasions, which is an important meeting place for community-building, local activists, migrants, the fight against racism, discrimination, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, neocolonialism and fascism, to name a few.
