This year's VJs at #FOEG2024: @iseefaces.studio is an artistic studio founded by Maria Meiga, a graphic and textile artist, together with Matei Petrescu, VJ and painter. Specializing in graphic and visual art, video mapping, lighting, stage design, and installations, ISEEFACES is dedicated to the exploration of the dynamic interplay between audio-visual media and traditional craft techniques. “We explore unconscious states from an abstract perspective, drawing inspiration from natural forms and shapes. Our work seeks to evoke deep emotional connections and engage audiences in immersive experiences that transcend conventional boundaries”. @max_morrisdoherty is a video artist from Manchester UK, who uses a mixture of digital and analogue apparatus to blend psychedelic visuals with hand-drawn animations and footage in live-edited collages. PM - Those Post Meridian times .. those moments when bright daylight swirls into night and time seems so ephemeral .. when memory kicks in and starts patching up the pieces between clarity, distortion and imagination, that’s when expressions of stage design, large scale paintings and video mapping, merge into PM’s dimensions. Matei Petrescu, or PM, depending on the situation, is a Romanian multidisciplinary artist, shifting from abstract painting towards video mapping, stage design or just full room installation works when coming down from one of Saturn’s rings.

Here are some bits from Din Stemme I Mit Øre - A documentary animation/relational video piece by myself and @sophiegrodin What started as a lockdown project to try and facilitate and document a remote conversation between resident across Tårnby, turned into a document/conversation about the things that give people comfort in times of crisis. Respondents made or gave us drawings, notes and interviews on the subject that became the prompts for the animated loops that make up the video. The ssssssick analog sound is by Dan Hayhurst @dhscul It was made with funds awarded by BL - Danmarks Almene Boliger, and was the first thing I’ve made entirely in Danish.
