We work with the finest of nature. A Dinesen tree is typically 80 to 300 years old and is chosen individually based on its structure and size to guarantee that each tree exemplifies the best that nature can grow.
Our raw wood is sourced from four tree species: Douglas fir, pine, oak, and ash.

The Earth | Tree exhibition by @kkaa_official at @copenhagen_contemporary is a sensory encounter of architecture, nature and materiality. Crafted from @dinesen Douglas offcuts, the installation forms a wooden canopy, grounded by @petersentegl tiles and illuminated by @ankerco . Together, the materials evoke the Japanese expression, komorebi, sunlight filtering through leaves, creating a poetic interplay of light and shadow.
You can explore Earth | Tree until 21 February 2027. Discover more via link in bio.
Set atop a detached Victorian house in Hampstead, Vaulting Loft is a spacious loft apartment born from a former top-floor flat, with a striking 4.8-metre ceiling. The new roof extension creates a fluid sequence of spaces that rise and fall with the roofline, offering both expansive and intimate moments. The Dinesen Layers Douglas flooring, with its pale, tactile surface and wide planks, anchors the space, highlighting its proportions and introducing natural grain for a calming effect.

Dinesen Country Home is designed on the philosophy of creating a home rather than a showroom. This is evident in details such as the bespoke furniture crafted in collaboration with local artisans. Even the small upstairs chambers, with their hidden doors and cosy proportions, speak to a design approach that is as personal as it is refined.

“We had stayed in the house before and felt a great sense of reverence when we took on this project,” they recall. “The house was already in great shape, but we wanted to add layers of character and perhaps a touch of the unexpected.”

Felling a tree is a powerful ritual — the crack, the crash, then silence. For a moment, the forest holds its breath before life returns, and birds and insects fill the air once more.
