Now that the weather is getting springy here in Berlin, come join us on the next two Wednesdays, April 2nd & 9th at Dim Things before we take two weeks off for Easter Break. There will also be fresh ChanT-e-a: Sweet Mint Ginger & Sour Sage Ginger. And as always: Open Chant-i-n-g is about opening up and connecting with one’s vocal vibration in a safe, communal environment. While a peaceful, spiritual ambiance is felt and created, these sessions do not follow any of the wonderful mantra singing traditions. The sounds created have more in common with free, improvised music. Curious? Come see for yourself! Who is it for? Anyone. Absolutely no musical training or knowledge is required. This is not a concert with a performer-audience dynamic. Everyone is welcome to participate as much as they feel comfortable with and be a part of the chanting. Each session starts with a warm up, vocal safety awareness techniques, and other pro tips. Each Wednesday there will be two sessions with a short break in between. Templo vacío. Album by Vladimir Aranda Rosales Release date 15.05.2025 We met pianist/drummer @vladimirarandarosales during the summer of 2023, while we were still renovating to open our doors for the first time. Once the piano found its rightful place, he began practising to play what ended up being an unforgettable performance on September 22nd. There were screws, nails and wooden sticks on the floor. Tape was coming out of the piano like innards. Highly percussive clicks and metallic friction resulted in something resembling a door as tall as the eye can see slowly closing. With the aura still floating from the concert, this album was recorded two days later. @dim.things began in 2023 as a cultural space focusing on concerts for improvised and experimental music. Now, we are aiming to give a home to work by the exceptional artists that have become part of our family. With Templo vacío, we begin the journey of dim editions. A thank you is not enough to express the gratitude with our community. With these words we send all our love.
