Sharing this program: People Fixing the World, on BBC Sounds - available anywhere in the world - as it is always interesting and inspiring. This episode was about three different literacy programs set up in Bangladesh, in Somaliland and in the UK. The Bangladeshi program called Friendship just one an Earthshot prize. The one in Somaliland is an app called Pathfinder and the one in the UK: Read Easy. We share this because the ability to read allows people to express themselves, it gives confidence and empowers many third world women to gain financial independence. It is fundamental to dignity.
Check out the program and this episode. Perhaps you can help someone learn to read too
