A demo of a song called Courtyard Hue was included in this really beautiful compilation Merciless Accelerating Rhythms - Artists United for a Free Palestine that was released today. 64 tracks by really amazing artists with proceeds going to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund @thepcrf . Show this Saturday in Red Hook to belatedly celebrate the @pdgworld release on @gleamerdisk this spring… with @laddertalk and poems read by @juanitafamcan 💛💛💛 raising funds for Many Lands Mutual Aid in Gaza. ‘Tis the season to have a picnic at Valentino Pier and eat some key lime pie from Steve’s and then come over for some music!! Ask one of us for the address!

Still processing Snock Nite at the Owl this weekend… what a true lightning bolt of joy to the heart! Thank you Michael Hurley for the universe you created. Dig nitty band has changed a lot over an almost decade (wow) with many different wonderful people involved honoring that by trying on a new name ~Anywhere~ bc the time feels right. August 1st playing at Alphaville to celebrate @juliancubillos record release along w @nate_nate !!

:) Starting a new project with musical community / divestment of time/energy from corporate platforms in mind, a tape label called @gleamerdisk . First release is out tomorrow - from @pdgworld , with artwork by @kissytunnel , it’s amazing. Lots of conversations with friends recently and of course this feeling bolstered by reading @lizpelly ‘s incredible new book, it feels important to create a healthy musical ecosystem where we share art in intentional and playful and connecting ways. Gleamer Disk music will be on short runs of hand dubbed tapes with homemade risographed J cards, and digital will be available on @ninaprotocol (or just emailed mp3s) and NOT on Spotify. Hoping for this project to be increasingly ‘off the apps’ as we get an email list going (subscribe link in @gleamerdisk bio or at gleamerdisk.net, along w tape preorder form!) but will be updating for the time being here on the gram so if you’re not ready for the email list plunge come follow the IG! Gleamer as in fish or sparkle, Disk as a nod to some cool labels I have read about while thinking about this project like ESP Disk and Salome Discs. Looking forward to some great collabs :)
