Lots of recipes (and even some bakers) swear that you need to adjust the amount of water in bread doughs depending on the day's humidity, but is it true? @dgritzer tested flour's absorption of ambient moisture and has some answers at the link in bio.
From marinades to dressing up summer produce, @seriouseats editorial director @dgritzer shares tips and tricks for making the most of the grill this summer.
Did a rapid-fire chitchat on summer grilling with the great folks @cbsmornings , and got to share two of @leahc284 incredible grilling recipes (I think they liked them...a lot!).
Mochi chocolate chip cookies are just one of the many oh-god-I-must-make-this-right-now recipes from @arlynosborne 's new baking cookbook. Another high on my list: pandan tiramisu!
Late post-Thanksiging post. My job keeps me more focused on home cooking than restaurants, but I was lucky to meet @anabanana_castro at the F&W Classic earlier this year and then visit her NOLA restaurant, Lengua Madre, while there for turkey day. The dinner was incredible (this sope pictured was just one of many great courses), and I can't wait to come back when she opens her seafood spot, Acamaya, next year. Bonus of making a new chef friend? She let me raid her walk-in when I couldn't find passion fruit puree for some big-batch Hurricanes I made for Thanksgiving dinner. Life saver!
