Hi, it’s me, @dglcreative . Even though I’ve been doing social media content for years now, I’ve never been good at online self promotion. But as I work on more projects, I feel like I should introduce myself to the interweb peeps. PLUS I have some exciting things to announce very soon! Hey, I’m Dee! I’m a queer Filipinx graphic designer residing on unceded Coast Salish territories. When it comes to my work, small businesses are my bread and butter, working with them to set up their branding, marketing material, and give them the tools to jumpstart their social media presence. I love watching a small business grow, gain footing in their respected fields, and make an impact in the community. If you’ve made it this far, thank you! Looking forward to connecting with you! 🫶🏽

@kamayan.fest was an experience and then some! Seeing everything come together was beautiful. At the end of the day the body ached, the brain hurt, but my heart was so full. A gathering of community, of art, music, food, I cannot be more proud to be a part of something so amazing. Thanks to the friends who came to support and to the new friends I’ve made. Team, we did that shit. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

For the peoples who never die, for the pulse of the drum. Because it is time to be free, to be happy starting today, breaking every chain, bringing down oppression. The nations of the Earth, the defense of the Mother. Community resounds — the call that brings us together. Little eagle and condor, little eagle and condor, flying again, flying again… In my heart, in your heart. ✨ I loved this open mic. Deep gratitude to @skyewph @mitote.music for accompanying me with the Huehuêtl. Thank you to @tahananstudio for creating this space for sharing and community. Go visit them — they have truly beautiful things 🤍 #gratitud #comunity #music #singersongwriter #artist

I was blessed to have a few days away from the city to spend some time with good friends on Vancouver Island a couple weeks ago. But coming back has been particularly hard for me. Giving myself some breathing room has made way for my unprocessed trauma to surface. I’m grateful for my community, and being in community, and for all the connections made in the last 4 months. But holding space for others and constantly taking in energy, without addressing my own trauma, has now depleted me. I now I have to hold space for myself. Kamayan Fest is less than 2 weeks away. I’m looking forward to celebrating the day with everyone and I do hope to see many of your smiling faces. So please come and say hi. After the festival I will be taking time away to do some deeper work to address my trauma and depression and hope to see all of you at the other side of it.
