25 years of Grime. You can’t fake presence to the people. Big up @djtarget first met him at my school when I was 15 and told him he’s gonna be seeing me SOON lol. He did. From the day I did that first set with @djmakten bringing as many MC’s as I could back together. Restoring the unity and the feeling… I felt the shift and knew my responsibility. From this song that captures the sound of the resurgence produced by the OG @dexplicit , to the Grime Scene Saviours shows, to the Grime Scene Saviour project. WORKS. Culture is currency. Still on a high… The devil has a plan… But God always has a better one. To the @moboawards@trenchtrenchtrench thank you again. Cheers to longevity. Love all.🏌🏾♂️💫🤞🏾🤍🙏🏾🐾
2008. 2009. 2016. But 2026… This one hit different. All glory to the most high… I sincerely, truly appreciate this moment. Honestly. Thank you everyone. God is good. Grime Scene Saviours. Brought it back. Amen. #GSS ✅🤍🏌🏾♂️✝️🍾💫🐾 @moboawards@trenchtrenchtrench
This is another handpicked selection of tracks from 1999-2001 that shaped and had big influence on the sound of grime in the early 2000s. Eskimo is included in this case as the 1999 track as it is claimed that it was made around the end of 1999, beginning of 2000.
Possibly a part 3 on this too! 👀👌🔥🎶🥂🍾
⬇️ Let me know what you think of the selection and what your favourites are in the comments 😈⬇️

Between 1999 and 2001, UK Garage and Dark Garage started shifting from it's traditional sound toward a rougher, DIY sound called grime. This change was driven by the youth who were tired of being flashy and instead used home computers and game consoles to make music that reflected their daily lives in the city. The movement began with raw underground tracks and reached the charts by 2001 through successful groups like So Solid Crew and the Pay As U Go Cartel.
UK garage provided the foundation for grime by establishing pirate radio stations and group structures known as "crews". Artists took these elements and rebuilt them into a faster, more aggressive style, typically set at a 140 BPM tempo. By stripping away the polished, happy vibes of the old garage scene, they created a confrontational sound that reflected the reality of the streets and changed British music culture forever.
