Thank you for a great and playful energy yesterday during our ‘Moving Through Play’ workshop given by @amberbosteels ! 🙏

“It was such a long time ago that I rolled over the floor. Amazing. On a party, I do dance, but people don’t roll neither slide on the floor. And actually why not? It feels so good to play and enjoy movement. It feels liberating to release your inner child. The improvisation tasks allowed me to move in my own way, but still gave me tools to explore and connect with other participants. Thank you DEVLOER for a warm invite and accessible workshop!”

“Het is zo lang geleden dat ik over de vloer rolde. Geweldig. Op een feestje dans ik wel, maar mensen rollen of glijden niet over de vloer. En waarom eigenlijk niet? Het voelt zo goed om te spelen en te genieten van beweging. Het voelt bevrijdend om je innerlijke kind los te laten. De improvisatieopdrachten lieten me op mijn eigen manier bewegen, maar gaven me ook tools om te verkennen en contact te maken met andere deelnemers. Bedankt DEVLOER voor een warme uitnodiging en toegankelijke workshop!”

DEVLOER is a platform for movement, dance, and performance in Ghent. It is a low-threshold and multidisciplinary hub of creativity and artistic expression.
DEVLOER organizes workshops, share-and-train sessions, performance evenings and intensives, body repair cafés, coaching, creative labs, free movement labs, contact improv jams, and more.
DEVLOER is also your playground. "I am my city, my neighborhood, my living environment": dancing, playing, training, trying, creating, rehearsing, showing, making music, filming, photographing, ... We enable brand new initiatives; we are curious about those with the least experience in the process and stimulate creative interventions.
DEVLOER is the flexible space where exchange, research, self-development, mutual incentives, peer-to-peer learning, and Do-It-Yourself are central.
DEVLOER has been led this year by a dynamic and innovative group of young professional dancers from Ghent: Lies Lambrecht, Ine Garré, Amber Bosteels, Astrid Delombaerde, and Emilie de Vlam, founder of DEVLOER.
