🗣 Welcome on Sunday mornings for Body Repair: a gentle, hands-on bodywork session focused on recovery and body care. 🤲 👐 We work with massage, breath and mobilisation to allow the body to recover. Come for an hour of touch and care, with indulgence, friction and kneading. We practice together, share tips and skills, and exchange through both giving and receiving. 👐 This is a very practical space, with room to share experiences about bodily sensations and small aches. 🔴 Explore your dance landscape through physical training and key tools such as micro-movement, slow and small movement, image work, and sensitivity exercises. Butoh is a dance without correct answers. A well-moving body and a strong imagination are both essential: it is never either/or, but mind and body together. 🔴 This series of Butoh is dedicated to approaching material with precision through experimentation. Imperfection, danger, imbalance, paradox, loss of control, and fragility all play an essential role. 🔴 Emilie brings her perspective within the butoh practice to share and to learn together. We are always beginners, again and again. She has been shaped by many years of experience with butoh masters such as Akira Kasai and Masaki Iwana, as well as by collaboration with fellow dancers like Tashi Iwaoka. 👥️ Participants are invited to share their improvisation on the open stage with exchange, “Soft Stage”, every third Sunday evening of the month at DEVLOER in Broei. JAMS on Friday evenings from 19:30 to 21:30🌀 🫂 Welcome, this Friday evening in Ghent for our contactimpro jam! We meet into dance, joining an open, mixed level jam space to train, explore and celebrate the practice of contact improvisation. ☀️📍 In summer the Friday jams take place at DEVLOER (Broei, Nieuwland 69, Ghent — NOT at R7!) 👉Doors open & arrival: 19:00 👉Guided warm-up: 19:30 👉Followed by an open jam space 👉Closing circle: 21:30 👀 Alternating hosts facilitate the space, with changing focuses during the jams (silence or live music, projection or light, drawing, photography or filming - will be announced). 🤏 Contribution: sliding scale €10–€20 This contribution is needed for the studio cost and much appreciated by the hosts who lovingly facilitate. Leonora es un viaje escénico que se adentra en los pasajes más intensos de la vida de Leonora Carrington, la artista que desafió las normas de su tiempo y transformó el dolor, la locura y el encierro en un universo propio. En este solo, @quentin_chaveriat , actor y performer belga radicado en Bruselas, explora un fragmento de la vida y la obra de Carrington, moviéndose entre la oscuridad abismal y la persistencia luminosa en una pieza inclasificable, humorística y perturbadora, creada originalmente para el Queer Butoh Festival de Nueva York. La obra mezcla teatro de vanguardia, danza butoh y estética drag queer, construyendo un lenguaje escénico inusual, hipnótico y provocador, que reencanta la realidad y convoca a las fuerzas que habitan los márgenes. DEVLOER x BROEINEST colab | een dialoog tussen lichaam en geest 💭👣 😶‍🌫️ Vind je het moeilijk om in je lichaam te kruipen?  Wil jij je lichaam wat beter leren kennen? Mag het wat liefde van je (leren) krijgen? Samen voelen, ademen, bewegen – en zo thuiskomen in onszelf. 🤷 Deze workshop bestaat uit twee delen: “een fysieke workshop begeleid door Emilie en Lies van DEVLOER” “een gesprekssessie geleid door Broeinest.”  👉 DEVLOER: Thuiskomen in je lijf. Vind verbinding met jezelf door je lichaam beter te leren kennen. Hoe voelt het wanneer lichaam en geest verbonden zijn? ‘Wij begeleiden je doorheen een zachte, fysieke workshop waarin zelfliefde en eenzaamheid centraal staan. We laten je kennismaken met je eigen lichaam: hoe het luistert, hoe het voelt en wat er in schuilt. We delen onze tools rond lichaamsbewustzijn vanuit onze ervaring als professionele dansers. Onze expertise vertalen we naar bruikbare, dagdagelijkse tools. 👉 BROEINEST: ‘We begeleiden je om naar die nodige zelfliefde en lichaamsbeleving te kunnen gaan. This was DEVLOER at @broei.be 2024 (and much more 😉)! This year, we moved a lot. We built our own dance floor once more and created a vibrant community along the way. As we step into the future, let’s move with intention: dancing to what’s ahead with feet that know the ground. No rush, no running. Just steps that fit and space to dream, without holding on too tightly. A heartfelt thank you to @broei.be @ghenteyc @eusolidaritycorps and the incredible artists who brought DEVLOER to life. And to everyone who joined us on the floor in 2024! Thank you for being part of this journey. We can’t wait to welcome you again in 2025. Let’s keep creating, moving, and dancing together. ♥️

This month’s Share & Train session was a blast! We dove into floorwork and acrobatic skills, sharing knowledge and exchanging feedback on an equal, horizontal level. So much learning and fun along the way! Huge thanks to everyone in the room and @eusolidaritycorps for the support!
