RATTLIN’ ‘ROUND, 2025 Super stoked on how this piece turned out. I’m moving towards carving all of my automata out of wood and this is the second. Everything is carved from basswood with the exception of the ground being pine. Finished with acrylic then sanded and polished to a satin sheen. The mechs are a mix of ply cams, cherry levers, fishing sinkers, and plenty of brass and music wire. The casing is cherry ply trimmed in hardwood. Everything is designed to be completely dismantled in case a repair is ever needed. Come see (and crank!) this piece in person at the opening of COWBOY KITCHEN September 6th at @juliamartingallery #cowboy #horse #snake #western #desert #automata #toy #woodcarving #yeehaw

YOU ARE ONE When @dailymini asked me if I’d be interested in creating a custom piece for Elizabeth Sparkle herself, @demimoore , I could only respond with a monstro sized YES. I drew up the concept for her bathroom, complete with lights, syringe, hidden door and fluorescent green SUBSTANCE. Thanks Kate for dreaming up this gift and trusting in me and thank you Demi for giving us a hell of a ride we won’t soon forget. 💉 🦠 #thesubstance #horror #demimoore #miniature #pumpitup

If you had told me when I was a kid I would be able to sculpt, print and paint my own figures at home I probably would’ve karate kicked ya for telling a lie, but hey, here we are. I sculpted and printed this Lemongrab figure around this time last year and just got around to painting him. Cheers to finishing old projects in ‘26

A *little* gift for my sweet thang @danelletattoos 1:12 scale cabinet made of red oak. All half lap joinery with working hinges, styrene “glass”, and polished to a buttery smooth finish with tung oil. Based off of @noamatelier original full scale piece. Go check out his beautiful work. Time to fill it with other smaller things I reckon

The Belcourt Theater, pre renovation, like most of us locals remember. While the remodeled building is beautiful and welcomes in a new era for the theater, the old entrance is still near and dear to our hearts. 1:24 scale, every material I could possibly use and just under five feet long. Happy 100th @belcourttheatre !

here’s a comp of all the behind the scenes clips of my Cowboy automata from earlier this year. Every single terrible shot is by me and my super glue/paint covered fingers. I really need to start buckling down on process footage for these projects. Anyways, yeehaw I guess.

WHO LET PEACHFUZZ LOOSE?! When @patrickbrice reached out back in the spring about potentially building some miniatures for the upcoming season of The Creep Tapes I was beside myself. Being a huge fan of the Creep films and last year’s series, I was honored to play a small part in helping build the franchise’s always growing lore. When discussing how Josef ( @markduplass ) would’ve carved these animal figures, we landed on keeping them a bit crude, unfinished and definitely made of wood - reminiscent of older folk art. The whole set includes an animal that mirrors a specific victim, a shed with bars, moveable door and a light, a gas can, stump and the ULTIMATE PeachFuzz mini (with a changeable axe hand). Go watch The Creep Tapes S2, Episode 4 on @shudder ! (And then watch the rest of the franchise if ya haven’t already) 🐺 🪓

Here I am doing some motion testing with the puppet, Teardrop. Teardrop is the brainchild of @strawberrydoom . I was given a sketch and told it needs to be a bit surreal and creepy. I think it worked! We wanted a textured, almost leathery face so I used @creaturecastrubber and added acrylic for a little color. Blues and blacks around the sunken eye sockets and I made my own glossy black resin eyes. I ended up making the hat and sewing its little armless jacket as well. Handle in the body and a rod coming out of the back of the head. Thanks to the wizard @curtis_wayne_millard for puppeteering and filming! Head over to @strawberrydoom page to check out her latest video.

My 10 year old self would never have guessed I’d be building miniatures in my late 30s, especially scenes from Men In Black… but here we are and it’s so fun. The worm guys themselves were sculpted from scratch in Nomad by me and printed here in my workshop. Being so small and so expressive sculpting them digitally allowed for such tiny details. Thanks again @a.study.of , it was so much fun!

Wirt! It’s crazy to think that Over the Garden Wall has been around for over a decade and still holds the magic it originally blew us away with. I started sculpting this a few weeks back as fall rolled into Tennessee. Maybe I’ll do Greg and Wirt Jr next? Sculpted in @nomadsculpt
