This one’s for anyone who’s ever wondered how you make a film while the world stops, while juggling a dozen other projects and studio responsibilities. It took different time zones, late nights, big feelings, and a lot of belief. We managed various disciplines, people coming and going, a mountain of sketches, discarded ideas, storyboards, tests, calls, endless coffee, more calls, and all held together by stubborn persistence. From Moebius and Moon to disco strings and dream logic - this world definitely didn’t come together by accident. In the silence, what flickers? Meet Aleks. At 51 years old, he is a man trapped by routine and isolation. Stranded for five years on a desolate planet following a tragic accident, he exists in the space between a recorded memory, a final game of chess, and a gramophone that still hums with the ghost of a life once lived. Every Light in Between was born during the lockdown. It began with a question we all asked when the world slowed down: What keeps you going when there is no one around? On the third anniversary of her passing, we remember Nina Masó, interior designer, co-founder and editor of Santa & Cole, and an ambassador of warm light. Hands, hearts and 36 tiny heads 👐✨ This one was a proper labour of love. From modular puppets to hand-painted sets, every frame of @suchard_es ’s Christmas story was built by real people, with real care. Stop-motion isn’t fast (or easy). But that’s kind of the point. We slowed things down, so every prop, blink and shadow could mean something.
