“So many people are carrying great ideas, they just need the right conversations and environment to refine them.”
I spent the past few days serving as a moderator at the Business Incubator Program hosted by Initiative for Information Arts and Culture Development
@iacd_ng American Corner Jericho, Ibadan and that was one thing I kept thinking through every session.
Moderating the sessions gave me a front row seat to a lot of honest conversations; business owners asking real questions, speakers sharing practical experiences, people talking about mistakes, growth, structure, visibility, grants, branding, revenue and what it actually takes to build something sustainable.
I wasn’t just passing microphones or introducing speakers. I found myself fully immersed in every conversation, learning, observing and sometimes even reflecting on my own journey while the sessions were going on.
And sharing the room with people like Ms.karamat ajala, Mrs
@kemiirinoye ,
@thechocboy , Mr Olugbenga Ogunbowale, EMBA and Mrs Omowumi Helen Oduyemi made the experience even more worthwhile and one thing I’m leaving with is this: A good idea is not enough. You have to be willing to learn, adapt, stay consistent and keep showing up even when things are unclear.
A big shoutout to
@israelalabiwrites for this
recommendation. I owe you in folds Sir🥰
I’m really grateful for the opportunity, the conversations and for every lesson that came with it.
