After two decades of drawing Skip, creating stories about Skip, and hearing that Skip inspires children all over the country (& world) to write ( congratulations KL!) last year I was tasked to turn them into 3D teaching aids ( cuddly toys)!
In celebration I wanted to animate one of the soft toys for IG, but that seemed a little more time consuming than a 2D animation, so for now, I made this little pas-de-chat-ing Skip in the interim! See previous post for the 3D version!šš¶āØ

ššš At @kinetic_letters HQ today ā¦ itās my first time meeting the (boxes of) Bounce and Skip monkey toys that Iāve designed & produced with KL over the last year!
:The Monkeys are based on my original character illustrations for @kinetic_letters ; they are made from recycled materials and are now available for all KL schools to order!

I spent last year turning my original illustrated characters into 3D teaching aidsā¦ and over the summer they were delivered to KL HQ š„°

The monkeys were surprisingly not as simple as the turtle to create! Turns out Iād never drawn them in profile ā¦
Still, we are all pretty thrilled with the results. Soft, sweet, useful. As per we prioritised recycled materials in production ( still quite rare for toys!)
